Am I the only one surprised that the Nuggets/Wolves game 3 isn’t until Friday? Seems unusual to have a game 2 on Monday and have 3 full days off in the middle of the second round. Before looking at the schedule today, I was slightly hoping that game 3 would be tonight, but figured it would be tomorrow since Denver had a travel day. But Friday? This series is far from over. The Nuggets will benefit much more than the Wolves from the rest. Is the league trying to keep Denver alive?
I guess it's so the all the game twos are played before the game 3. It's also good for the Wolves, extra rest for that defense.
Happens pretty much every year when two teams who swept Round 1 start Round 2 while another set of teams is still cleaning up Game 7 from Round 1. It's just to even up scheduling moving forward

Normally rest is always good for any team but in these circumstances when you are playing the defending champs and you are the younger, healthier, maybe even more dynamic team and you have all of the momentum, you can’t wait to play. The games can’t be played fast enough for the Wolves right now. And this gives the Nuggets time to rest and refocus. This is a big break for Denver and it’s not being talked about enough.

Connelly didn't craft this team Gerson Rosas drafted ALL THESE YOUNG PLAYERS Tim just made the Robert trade and he gets credit for it
Not saying the Nuggets are winning the series because they are not. But remember the Spurs in 2012? They were 10-0 to start the playoffs and ran roughshod on the league...even being down 24 points against CP3/Blake Griffin/Deandre Jordan/and 3pt specialist JJ Reddick they still came back and won. After the Spurs went 10-0 people thought they were dynastic. Didn't win a single playoff game after that. Not saying that this is how the Wolves are going to be, but there is some precedent here. Not to mention Phoenix winning the first two games in 2021 and then lost 4 straight to Milwaukee in the NBA finals.
Think it has more to do with them winning the first two of this series on the road against the defending champs with one of those games being a blowout without their best defender.

Everyone knew they were going to beat Phoenix.. the only people that thought Phoenix had a shot were Pheonix fans.. they have a tough series against the nuggets and then whoever will be tough in the WCF.. the Pelicans were comparable to the Suns in the first round for the Thunder.. then a tough second round in Dallas and the WCF.. but Dallas had the harder matchup against the Clippers, then a tough second round with the Thunder then the WCF.. so it can be argued that Dallas will have had a harder road if they win a championship..
