1) AIEEA (UG) ICAR exam (for national level BSc agriculture seats) application is out!*
Application is available on icar.nta.ac.in
Submission date starts from 25/07/21 to 20/08/21.
2) Agriculture quota reservation seats have been increased from previous 40% to present 50%.
3) Agriculture BSc farm sciences seats have been increased in various colleges across Karnataka.
4) Agriculture practical exams have been canceled for this year. Only KCET marks will be considered to allot seats.

Based only on your PCB marks in KCET you can get seat. But make sure that your score in 3 subjects should be 140 or above.

ICAR exam is similar to any national level examinations (JEE/NEET)
ICAR helps you get into national level BSc agriculture colleges (even IARI).
KCET is a substandard entrance exam for Engineering, Veterinary science (NEET:15% seats, KCET 85% seats), BSc farm science.
As you know 60 questions will be asked from each subject (PCMB). There's no negative marking. Seats will be distributed based on your Rank and category in each stream (Eng, Vet, Farm, Pharma). After KCET exam you will have to verify your documents (Attested by Gazetted officer) and select the courses and colleges that you would like to join. You can select maximum courses and colleges.
4 rounds of counselling will be seen.
ICAR is an online mode exam. Conducted for 600 marks. 150 objective type questions and each correct response carries four marks and wrong attempt deduct one mark. Duration 2 hours and 30 minutes. Subjects: PCM/PCB/PCA (A:Agriculture)
Subjectwise questions: P: 50, C:50, B/M/A: 50

Horticulture is the best. Sericulture is restricted to Silkworm Culture/Silk manufacturing/Processing/Marketing.
Horti has more professional courses for PG and a student can chose the best after UG.
Job/Career scope is high in Horti than Seri.

See, process goes like this
If 100 students apply for BSc agri, based on their rank (below 5000 for GM, 10000 for reservation category) get seats.
If they have agri quota, 50 seats out of 100 should be given to them. Remaining 50 seats will be shared between GM, OBC, PH, Ex defense, Defense, Special category, govt employee sons.
So If you score 140 in PCB, You will have high chance of getting a seat.

Actually you can get seat either through Category quota or Agriculture quota. But you can't be selected by taking both the categories.
I think, this year 120+ (for both Category and Agriculture quota) is a very good marks.

If you write agriculture practical exam, they will compare your kcet marks and agriculture practical marks with others who have taken the same exams.
After analysis, if your rank is somewhere close to 10,000, is considered to be safest rank for agriculture seat.
