I forgot to warn you the FlyLEDS box is deceptively small lol. My kit came in two of those same boxes and I was for sure there was no way all that stuff was in there.
The easier way to bend the parts is with a Bending Brake --- but like with a LOT of build tools, the price isn't justified for the few parts that need to be bent. But wait, there is more build (and condition inspections) to come {with same expensive tool requirements}
I’d thought about a bending brake. And I’ll use any excuse to make another trip to Harbor Freight. But, I’ve never used one and wasn’t sure if it would be too harsh on soft aluminum. But, now that I have a welder in my shop to start working on other projects, a bending brake would be a nice addition.
@@thathippiepilot The guy in the hangar across from mine is building a Zenith CH-750 and he has used a brake frequently for his parts --- has not bothered the aluminum and has made bending parts so much easier for him. ((I did all my bending the same way that you did ---- as Van's says, "WHANG!" method ;-)
Extraordinary work!
Thanks!

That’s great info. The WHANG method is definitely anxiety inducing.
Lenses separate
Not sure what you’re saying. Do you mean that the wingtip lenses are separate from the FlyLEDs order, hence the smaller than expected box?
