This is actually even more satisfying than you think. I used to watch a lot of Destiny, and he didn't merely say that open relationships were superior, *he said it took significantly above average people for them to work.* Every open relationship you've ever heard of failed spectacularly? His response would be that those people were all too emotionally unintelligent, too low value, too mentally fragile to ever handle a "sophisticated" "advanced" relationship like him. That the unwashed masses should stick to their boring monogamous relationships. That anyone who called him a cuck was coping. I wonder if he'll change his tune now...
Probably not. People like him are too prideful that they rather dig deeper into the hole to the point they can't climb back out. Just point and laugh at their stupidity and failure, don't feel any pity to their arrogance.
I feel like those words came from his "wife's" mouth rather than his own. He's a pushover and the girl took advantage then patted his head, told him how much of a progressive good boy he was, gave him sloppy 300ths and he was happy with it.
But that flies in the face of logic and scientific facts. If we see humans as a species of animal then "open" relationships don't make any sense. Humans are mammalian and the offspring take 10 months (40 weeks) to gestate and over two decades to fully mature, a bit like elephant babies but without the matriarchal society where males wonder the world alone only coming back to the herd for a shag now and then.
If your species is patriarchal (and this develops naturally based on significant sexual dimorphism btw), it doesn't make sense to carry on activities that can lead to child murder.
If we look at cases where children are killed in infancy, many of these children are killed by the mentally ill mother or the mother's new man. The latter is just a natural animal behaviour. A lion will take over a pride, kill the old leader's children and then immediately shag his women to produce his own offspring, that's why an actually Alpha male is a father who can and will protect his children and wife.
Even if you don't have children, the purpose of sex is sexual reproduction. Given how long and how much effort it takes to produce and raise a child, it would seem more likely that females who kill their own offspring or want to shag around have some kind of condition that makes them unfit to breed, as if nature is trying to get their potential offspring killed. It's like how homosexuality, if it were biological, would be nature's form of eugenics. (It's environmental and develops from the same issue as this rubbish, child abuse).
This is why it doesn't make sense for the person doing this to be significantly above average on any level. If such a person were a prime specimen then nature would make them engage in activities more likely to insure the survival of the offspring since the point of life is to breed.
People who want to engage in non-reproductive activities are clearly not advanced, they are not meant to pass on their defective genetics.
Let's not even discuss STIs.
People who believe these activities that deviate from the norm are advanced probably have below average intellect and should STFU. Their first mistake is taking the current post industrial living conditions, (which are optimal for human survival hence the low infant mortality rate and higher average lifespan) as the normal state of living and then assuming that anything they do within this system can be "natural" and not a result of living in unnaturally good conditions. (Consider, if you're a working or middle class person, you would have to be working hard as a servant or in a very taxing job/actually managing a house without modern aids just to survive so HTF would you have time or energy for this? Why would homosexuality or abortion be acceptable in a civilisation that needed manual labour? It means that homosexuality is only tolerated because of slavery (for rich people) or when we don't need as many people to do manual or service work (in the lower classes) but even still look at how the West is being depopulated by low birth rate).
If someone is too stupid to comprehend the harsh conditions of the normal state of humans which is as hunter-gatherers btw, then they really should be embarrassed to think they are advanced at all. I mean HTF can you be advanced when you barely have a brain? Technology advances but the idiot thinks he is the one who has advanced, yet can't even learn from history or nature.

I'm in a poly relationship. I have two wives and they are also both married to each other. We have been married for 20yr and have 6 children together. Over this time I have seen many other "poly" relationships that were just selfish women abusing weak and needy men. They all fail eventually. Context, Destiny wasn't in a poly relationship he was in a open relationship. 99% of open relationships fail because it's basically just cheating in public. Additionally I have never seen a poly relationship with 2 (heterosexual) men and 1 woman last more than 10yr, most last a yr or two tops. The only ones that last is multiple wives in a committed monogamous (within the marriage) marriage. And even then there are the same risks of divorce that any conventional marriage has x2.

@@avengingme We are actually a pretty "normal" family. Polyamory is fairly new but Polygamy (multiple wife's) has actually been the norm for most of human history outside of Europe. In fact it's still common through Africa and the Middle East and parts of India. Like a lot of families my wives are more on the liberal progressive side politically, while I'm more conservative. My two older children from a previous marriage grew up in the family and are if anything more traditional than normal. My oldest son is 26yr and has been in a monogamous relationship for almost 10yr.
