2024 IXCR RD1 - The Icebreaker - D Open

- First time racing. First time riding in sand. This was round 1 of IXCR (Indiana Cross Country Racing) at Badlands Offroad Park in Attica, Indiana, called "The Icebreaker". I had a good time riding, finished 2 full laps in about an hour and 20 minutes and started my third, but forgot to close my gas cap after a pit stop. The mixture of gas all over my thighs and groin sweat made me feel like legs were suffering chemical burn, so I pulled back to the truck and poured some water down my pants. Might have completed 3 laps if I didn't have that mishap.
I started riding dirt bikes in June of 2023. My first bike was a 2023 Honda CRF250R (which is now my oldest sons bike). Now I ride a 2024 KTM 300 XC. This channel is all about me learning to ride, going on riding trips with my friends and family and racing XC (Cross country) style races across Indiana. Hope y'all enjoy the content!

Nice race man! I the more videos i see the more i wish i would have had the bike ready for this race. You deffinately picked up the pace in the woods. I will be in D class this weekend at the MWXC on a sparkly Beta 300 #32.
Thanks, man! I'm a lot more comfortable in the woods. The sand was a totally new experience for me. 😅 I'll be in D Class this weekend as well. I don't have any number plates on my bike, but black and orange gear with a blue helmet. KTM 300XC. I'll keep an eye out for you and say hey if I see you!

Good stuff man, it gets easier the more you do it… I will be at all the Ixcr rounds this year and we camp quite a bit if you ever need something hit me up and we will get it sorted out. I raced my first race at 31 and had to learn as a vet rider so take it slow 😂 and the soreness gets better
Thanks! We'll be at all the IXCR rounds also. With a few others sprinkled in throughout the year if they're convenient. Yea I got on a dirt bike for the first time at 36. We don't bounce anymore when we hit the ground 😂😂
