Lollll holy shit it's the man himself! Hilarious you actually got to see this, hey if you're getting a New Plastic face tat I'll get an Eyedesign logo. Right between my eyebrows! On a sidenote, I appreciate all the work you've been doing, literally learned C4D from watching your tutorials. One of the main reasons I started this channel. My man EJ!
Yes! I think all of them have FBXs versions as well, I think maybe one or two of them might not have it but it's only because I never got to it, so if you're interested in one that doesn't have FBXs just let me know and I'll upload them
Quickest way is to increase the "Limit" number on the clumps, this will add more hair to each clump and therefor create less clumps with more hair per each. Then reduce slowly the clump strength (either in the "Clump" option of the "Clump" curve), to make each clump less dense and therefor thicker.
@@NewPlastic yh i noticed that later on. Do u know know any technique to do somewhat realistic braids ? asap rocky's for example. I didnt find any on the internet
Well the symmetry works if the model itself is modeled in symmetry, not if the pose is symmetrical. As you can see, the left side has the same exact polygonal structure as the right side, so cinema reads the symmetry and works with it.
@@NewPlastic No. I was able to solve it on my own. I learned a lot about hair from your tutorial and now I can create even more original hairstyles. Thank you for making this very meaningful video.
Yeah I never understood how creating Daz products works, maybe I should look into it. But I think my main point is that Daz has plenty of hair wigs, while C4D has NONE. But you're right, there's always room for more on the Daz store :)
hello! very nice tutorial! but pls I have an old pc and this is a little bit difficult for old pc, its possible create tutorial how to create dreads for example from polygons? i mean u model it and then u add hair on polygon? or some trick only with polygon and material isnt realistic?
Yes it's possible, it won't be MUCH lighter since even for that you need a lot of hair. I've tried that method and it has its pros, but it's still pretty heavy. I actually might do a tutorial about it in the near future.
Question, how come once I delete all the guides at the start, it deletes all the actual hair. So, once I add my guides its a single strand of hair for each guide, looking like a porcupine needle haha
Heh I think it's because your hairs are too thick and too short - make sure your scale of the object is around a human head scale. And if you cant scale it, just fix your hair length and with to match with your scale
@@NewPlastic what would you say a “human head scale” is? 100? 200? Also I cannot select the guides whatsoever individually, except for selecting all guides with CTRL + A or CTRL + CMD + A
@@whatsthatsmell6401 For selecting the guide - you can use the Hair Mode menu from the Simulate menu to select different parts of the Guides, and use the Hair Selection menu and the different tools there like the Live Selection to select each guide. As for the human head scale, it's in the area of 20cm diameter. doesn't have to be PERFECT but around that

That makes you insane for watching it brother :P
Been looking for these! Are the packs that also available in FBX format is also available in Gumroad?
Yes! I think all of them have FBXs versions as well, I think maybe one or two of them might not have it but it's only because I never got to it, so if you're interested in one that doesn't have FBXs just let me know and I'll upload them
pls its editable dread packs (c4d file)? or its obj/fbx?
It's completely editable, c4d file with hair module stylized and shaped, including 13 different hair colors in octane!
Really great video
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great Stuff, thanks for this!
My pleasure!
Man epic tutorial bro 👏🏾👏🏾, I bought your pack from gumroad too. Is it possible to make the long poly locs move dynamically?
Can u make a tutorial on how to out the wigs from ur pack on a character?
Each pack comes with a video explaining how to do that
pls if I want to enlarge dreadlocks
and reduce the number of dreadlocks what do I need to set?
Quickest way is to increase the "Limit" number on the clumps, this will add more hair to each clump and therefor create less clumps with more hair per each. Then reduce slowly the clump strength (either in the "Clump" option of the "Clump" curve), to make each clump less dense and therefor thicker.
once again he did it again. Subscribing to the patreon!!
That's incredible, thank you!
Are we able to use these packs commercially ?
is it possible to achieve the same effect with redshift?
Well the vast majority of the work comes from the C4D hair material and spline control so yeah, RS has very little effect in this.
@@NewPlastic yh i noticed that later on. Do u know know any technique to do somewhat realistic braids ? asap rocky's for example. I didnt find any on the internet
Hey I’m having trouble with one of your packs
Hi, incredible work, but how did you create hair symmetry if the model has a different pose from the "basic" model pose?
Well the symmetry works if the model itself is modeled in symmetry, not if the pose is symmetrical. As you can see, the left side has the same exact polygonal structure as the right side, so cinema reads the symmetry and works with it.
If you're models polygons are messed up, than yeah it won't work. Then you'll have to place guides manually.
dude ur a genius
⚠️ I would love to see a tutorial on your new intro, I loved it 💯💯💯
That's awesome, I probably will at some point!
@@NewPlastic yes sure I loved it alot and whenever you have time please make it! 🙏🏻:)
where did you get that model? looks soo good
Hey, they're from the Daz shop, the model in the Thumbnail is called Tyrone and the model in the video is called Valentino

Hi, thanks for all amazing videos you make.
I have a question about the hair can I use them freely in my work? Or is it only for personal use?
Love all of your tutorials mate!
Appreciate you my guy!
Any chance for regular hair pack?
Yeah definitely at some point. For the following weeks I gotta lay off hair stuff cuz that's all i'vebeen doing for over two months straight! lol
@newplastic is the best
aye @rdesigns is the best too
When i make dreadlocks longer they get very fat, any idea how to make long tiny dreadlocks?
Increase the Clump strength, that should clump them more tightly
great job!
Thanks boss!
This is too dope
You're too dope
I really apréciate a tutorial for normal hair too
Do these work on character creator 3?
If you import them to C4D it'll work
nailed it !
You know it!
I freaking love you
I freaking love you too buddy
great!
When i try to change hair count nothin happend, idk why
Make sure the guides are set to to Polygon Area in the Root menu, and not Polygon Vertex

@@NewPlastic keep up the great work bro ✊
Does the pack work on blender ??
Unfortunately it doesnt. But I'll be uploading FBX versions to the packs very soon, which can be imported to Blender or any other software.
YEAH finally
BTW make these into daz products to monetize this, I think it might make u quite a bit of money
