One of my favorite things about you has always been how much you love Teddy. And the way that you have maintained such a special relationship with him even after having children (I wish more people were like that.) I think you’re doing right by him, as long as he’s happy, keep him with you. ❤

You will know in your heart when it’s time to let him go. We put our Lhasa Apso Bobby to sleep in January (he looked so much like Teddy) my mum was in denial for a few months but he was up pacing one night in January at 3am staggering and struggling to breathe the emergency vet confirmed his heart was failing and we said our goodbyes it’s the hardest thing in the world and I miss him every single day. Sending all my love to you and Puffin Ted❤️❤️❤️

Awwwww Sending lots of love. It’s so hard to go through this with our pets. I had to put down my almost 20 year old cat and it was heartbreaking. As long as he is happy and isn’t in pain. You do have to consider his quality of life and do good by him. He relies on you and is clearly greatful for all the care you are giving him.

I totally understand how you feel about Teddy! My GSD was diagnosed last year with degenerative myelopathy. And has been paralyzed for a few months now. We have to help him go to the bathroom, expressing his bladder and bowels. But once he is in his wheelchair, he is so happy and carefree. Teddy will be so happy to get some wheels. &It’s never an easy decision; I know mine is coming soon. 💔 My heart breaks for you and him and I’m sending all my love.

@@sadiekins21 thank you, it really is. 😞 but yes, we use the Walkin’ Pets Walkin’ Wheels wheelchair, it has been great for us! 🤍
@@sadiekins21 another thing is Amazon has a lot of great rear slings that will help Teddy out! The Walkin Pets brand has them as well. Our boy is still able to go to the bathroom with the sling for times we don’t use his wheels 💕

Amazon and Walkin Pets also has some great rear slings that will help for all the quick trips outside when the wheels aren’t needed. It makes it easy for dogs to still go to the bathroom in as well. Magnesium has been life changing for me 😅 I also hate taking big pills (which leads me to avoiding taking them & defeats the purpose.) Recess makes a magnesium powder that you can mix into drinks & I love that! Also CVS makes a chewable one, which I find to be kind of chalky, but I still prefer it over the pill one.

Our fur babies mean everything to us! I am so sorry about Teddy! My husband and I found out that our 4 year old dog has an autoimmune disease that will slowly decline her quality of life. This journey has been devastating to say the least. It’s taught us to slow down and always give her all the love. Our vet recommended that we put her down almost one year ago today. We chose to keep her with us because we knew it wasn’t time. Here we are one year later and she is such a happy girl and I can’t imagine having listened to the vet. We know what’s best for them! Listen to your gut. You will know when it’s time. Hang in there, Teddy! ❤😢

I’ve been watching you since you were still living with your parents, just started dating Scott and Teddy was always stealing your socks.. lol! I don’t comment too often but I’ve been following for a long time. My cat is 12 now and I dread her getting older.. she is my baby!

Oh my goodness Teddy is the cutest!! 🥰 I have been where you are and thank goodness my vet recommended another vet that specializes in orthopedic surgery. I was worried about the cost of just the visit but it was the same price as a regular vet visit. My dog was not a candidate for surgery because he was 13 years old. He basically said my dog needed pain management. He has arthritis and bad knees. That's why he was having trouble walking. Good news is the medicines are working for him. He gets a shot called Adequan once a month for his arthritis and Rimadyl tablets for pain as needed. It's been two years and he is doing very well.🥰
Praying for Teddy, I know how heartbreaking this can be. Don't give up on him yet, when it's his time he will let you know...🙏

As an animal lover and I’ve been through this several times now through my life unfortunately and for some reason those darn back legs I have a nine-year-old right now that is having issues and we have him on different meds and it’s just not fair when the decision to do something like that is on the person that loves them the most, I do lean on my husband when it becomes time because he’s the only one that knows and will tell me the truth.
Sending you a huge hug and just know that I am thinking of you. Also a little tip is you can use a towel to hold those back legs up to walk, since he is so small you could just rip a 5 inch strip and put it under the belly and you hold the two connecting pieces for him to walk. It’s very useful when they are going potty.
Sadie I have been watching you for so long, and I love Puff too, he is a cutie pie..He will be with us for awhile there❤❤❤❤❤❤ is so much love you have for him, and I know he feels that..
So sad, I had to put my dog down so I know the feeling. I'm praying for both of you!

My pet lagomorph (aka bunny) is going through the same thing as Puff. I feel your pain I find myself making oceans every day and don’t know how I will handle life without him. Sadie you do what you feel is best for you and Puff. I hope he continues to walk more and more with time. You can also try physical therapy with him. I love Puff sooo much. Your video made me cry and then watching you cry made me cry more. I hate that you’re going through this. Love you and Puffin ❤❤ have been watching both of you since forever

Sadie you can get a small little wheels for Teddy I have seen that with other dogs that can't walk any more that would be a good thing to do for him he's a precious doggie . Let me know if you go with the wheels for him ask your vet they know about that have a great day 😊💞
Get 2nd option.. Try a doggie wheel chair
Maybe take him for walks while hes in a wagon with your children . I regret not taking my dog out for more drives and walks while she was alive! So maybe that would help with the mentality of it all . Best wishes

Aww!! Sorry Sadie... you should maybe look into a small wheelchair for him for his back legs. I understand the $14,000.00 surgery is crazy expensive!
1000%! He doesn’t even have hip dysplasia so that’s not even an option but it would have been too expensive anyway 😭 I’m definitely looking into little wheels for him
@@sadiekins21 Yes, ! it would be a less expensive option and if he has a good quality of life otherwise, maybe that is all he would need to help his little legs, plus a way less expensive option! GOod thoughts to you and hope he does well!
