  • Critical Race Theory (CRT) is a framework and academic discipline that originated in legal scholarship in the United States in the 1970s and 1980s. It seeks to examine how race and racism intersect with social, cultural, and legal systems to perpetuate systemic inequalities.
At its core, CRT challenges the idea that racism is solely the result of individual prejudice or bigotry. Instead, it argues that racism is embedded in social structures and institutions, shaping and influencing power dynamics and societal outcomes. CRT analyzes how historical and ongoing racial disparities are maintained and reproduced through laws, policies, and societal practices.
CRT emphasizes the lived experiences of marginalized racial groups and centers their perspectives in understanding the impact of racism. It explores the ways in which race intersects with other social identities, such as gender, class, and sexuality, recognizing that individuals experience multiple forms of oppression simultaneously.
Key concepts within Critical Race Theory include:
Intersectionality: Recognizing that race intersects with other social categories, such as gender, class, and sexuality, and that individuals experience overlapping forms of discrimination.
White privilege: Examining the advantages and privileges that white individuals often receive simply due to their racial identity, including unearned social, economic, and political benefits.
Structural racism: Highlighting the ways in which racial biases and discrimination are ingrained in societal structures, institutions, and policies, leading to systemic inequalities.
Counterstorytelling: Elevating the narratives and perspectives of marginalized groups to challenge dominant narratives and expose the experiences of racism.
Racial essentialism: Rejecting the notion that race is a fixed and inherent characteristic, instead considering race as a social construct shaped by historical, political, and economic forces.
It's important to note that CRT has been subject to criticism and debate. Some critics argue that it perpetuates division and focuses too heavily on race, while others claim that it is a valuable framework for understanding and addressing systemic inequalities. The understanding and interpretation of CRT can vary depending on the context and the individuals involved in the discussion.

CRT obviates the need for any thought, word or act of racism as proof of their presumed verdict. All they need is their preferred race measuring less favorably than another. Regardless of the cause: they declare their favored race to be victims of the other.
Then they would use real government enforced discrimination in response to their presumed discrimination; altering laws, policies and practices to favor their preferred race.
All for the stated purpose of forcibly making the measurements between races identical.
The operative question is whether you support using government force to implement racial discrimination.
    All the rest is academic.
    My answer is no.
