This is my new number 1!! Such high quality, my first proper experience of JESC has been very enjoyable. Also, side note…did not know you could vote for your own country, not sure how I feel about that 😂
It is a really good song 👏 When you listen to it a few more times you really appreciate the construction and instrumentation along with Mariam's powerful voice.
Such a high quality entry and vocally amazing. Fully expecting jurors to get behind this. I like the visual concept. Before listening to it for the first time, I saw the thumbnail and assumed it'd be a ballad so I was pleasantly surprised to find out it wasn't. This is definitely going to be up there.
plus, this is a "message" song ("Thing what we always need, thing what we always want, it's just a simple peace, I wish it for the world"), just like Kazakhstan and Ukraine. but of those three, I think Georgia does it the best this year.
@@ESCMattGaga especially Ukraine. Ukraine gives me both vibes of "not trying hard enough" (from the delivery, execution and melody) and "trying too hard" (from the lyrics).
Good day, keep up the good work, we are here for you🙂. This song immediately draws you in, love the intro with the ethnic beat and the impactful: "oh..A!". The song builds and at the end she delivers very strong emotions vocally. It's high energy, has a nerve in it, a constant beat through the song, it's so POWERFUL and feels modern. I am emotionally vibing with it through the whole song, a confirmation that it's good. This is probably going to do very well!! Exciting to see this live! (Personally, I don't find the outfits distracting. Having worked in design, I see it as "arty"😊). 💕
@@ShanesEurovisionReview I understood it the same way, it's partially about Iran (taking off the headband, girls dressed like they where dolls/decorations, not taking them as humans), partially about Ukraine (the colors of the headbands of the girls). it's about peace, against violence, with all the white doves and the lyrics.
Agree what you say about Georgia in ESC. Why they can keep delivering in JESC but flop so hard in ESC. They should send the same level to the contest. This a really strong entry well done Georgia and you woke up so early for it damn. Keep uppppo
When I first heard this song the first thought in my mind was Russia in Junior Eurovision 2017…..very strong song backed by a very strong singer where for this song to succeed you don’t need the glitz and glam or extravagant costume it will truly shine if it’s more pulled back and subtle (of course Russia had interpretive dancers but it really worked for that song) the song really shines and I hope and think Georgia will know what to do with staging.
@@ShanesEurovisionReview I was legit thinking that same thing as I was watching the music video….I am still unsure what the outfits are supposed to be saying
This is my current favourite. I don’t know the lyrics but the visual message seems to come across (to me at least) as breaking out of conformity and being what you want and need for yourself.
The paper dresses (refering to paper dolls) symbolise humans like dolls in hands of someone, most girls in video - how women are still vulnerable in some countries, dress in white and red: red is symbol of casualties of war - those I can read on this video, maybe I am wrong
As a Georgian I can tell you that the people who work on (Junior) eurovision are just way better at their job than the people who work on adult eurovision 👍 🙄 😉
Georgia and the UK have both songs for the adult Eurovision, but still they’re the best till now (in my opinion). 😅 If I have to choose one winner for now that’s definitely the UK
Man when it gets to Yereven it's going to be tough for anyone to win with this pool of songs! I would put my knock out and say UK and Georgia are at the front of the race for sure (with maybe two other songs). Armenia and Italy still to come :-)
Whole video is to spread the message about peace. Its recorded in the old theatre ,showing when Russia bombed Ukrainian theatre and children people died , paper birds represening the lost sould not only in Ukraine but in Armenia,Azerbaijan,Iran.when she wears hat and then took it off it represented the hijab and support to all people who suffers because of the islamic regime.also "uuuaaa" i think it says as the short form of 🇺🇦.also the uniforms represents "empty paper" for the new peacful begginings.i thinkk i've explained goood .i love my country🇬🇪💜 also thanks to our neighbours 🇦🇲 for hosting such an amazing event.
Thank you all for your appreciation 🇬🇪✊ But this song is about solidarity, not only about war and peace, but about an Iranian girl who was killed for wearing the wrong clothes.
On the discussion note: the idea that kids can't be mature or write/sing mature sounding songs is ignorant tbh. Kids nowadays are growing up much faster in this global climate and the music they like reflects that. Happy and bubbly songs will never leave JESC but mature songs aren't a bad thing or something we should complain about.
Well I have not weighed in to much on this debate...I am waiting a little longer...I understand all sides of this debate. I would VERY much agree with you here :-)
The world we live in isn't kind to every child. Kids in Georgia, Ukraine and many other countries feel the pain of WAR! If they sing some mature songs, they do it authentically as they have been living in a world of pain. My love and support to everybody who knows what I'm talking about. Mariam is amazing ❤️ Glory to Ukraine, Glory to Georgia 🇺🇦🇬🇪
And what kind problems do children in Georgia have? This is not an African country, they are not starving. The only problem of Georgia is Russia and not only for Georgia
And I have a new number 3! This is incredible. I love the sound, I love the voice. The message is good, the outfits are strange. I've looked up the translated lyrics and still don't understand the fits.
Outfits seem to have references to Iranian young women who fight for their freedom not to wear headcover (check 1:04 - removing cover and 2:38 with dark clothing reference to Iranian girl who was killed for not wearing headscarf). A lot of children died in war in Ukraine and continue to suffer, so these events make it relevant for junior Eurovision to have such adult song and deliver children's message to the world of adults.
The paper doves 🕊️ are very simbolícela of peace in Georgia, as well refers to the kids who died during the war in a teather while the war was going on, is why also was filmed in a theater
another winning contender. but it is still not enough to dethrone the UK in my personal top. my current top 5 so far (those whom I want to win) are: 1. UK 2. Georgia 3. Netherlands 4. Ireland 5. North Macedonia
Interesting top 5 here. Looking forward to hearing Armenia today and then doing my top 16! No idea how I will do it...to many of the songs are quality his year!
Georgia has this wild creative spirit in JESC each year and i love it. Its not just good, but great. However im not feeling it a 100% personally. Wonder if its always the same team, too lazy to research though ^^ I really dont think peoples mind a serious song, in that sense this isnt inappropriately adult or too mature to me. But i think theres a certain style of doing things especially in music videos which i just find uncool when teenagers are trying to copy more sexualised older performers, but also the lingo thats being used. One of the reasons im not feeling the UK entry ...And its not that im prude who needs jesc to stay pure or sth. Its just a bit lame imo
It's a great tune! I think we are back to to "agree to disagree" territory with the rest of the comment :-) But....personal tastes are personal tastes :-)
