You can add coal to the jetpack and armor by holding the armor in your off hand and coal in your main hand. Then press Q. Like you would to drop an item on the ground. But the jetpack will suck up the item instead.
To be exact, you need to hold the item you want to fuel in the off hand and throw the fuel, it doesn't need to be in the hotbar, thus you can fuel it with a lot of stacks from your inventory by throwing the entire stacks (ctrl+throw button) directly from the inventory.
There are a lot more unofficial create mod additions, I would love to see you check them out! PS: you can change a deployer between emulating a right click or a left click

But it's not the most fun way cause it removes gampley features you never interact with the terrain after getting the elytra which makes the game more mundane and boring cause that's a big part of the game.

TBH, I'm not fully knowledgeable about this expansion mod, so I assumed the slime helmet was meant to soften blows from crashing into things when flying with the elytra. Sticking to the ceiling like a steampunk spider-man works too!
By the time I saw this video, id been playing create for ages with stuff & additions added, and when I saw the drone in this video, I thought "FINALLY someone feels my pain"
i 100% agree with your take on the elytra, whats the point of riding a train when you can fly across the same distance without effort. it really kills it.

Like literally I fail to see how it ruins fun when it's just convenience and is in of itself a reward for completing the game. You're only ruining it for yourself if you decide to just speedrun the game to get it.

I like Elytra its an endgame thing and if your like me and build modpacks that have the Project MMO mod even if someone has an Elytra they wouldn't be able to use it until they earn the ability to do so through the PMMO skills.

Is there a way to change the jetpack fly limit. Ive searched but couldn't find it in the configs. Only being allowed to fly 20 blocks high isn't gonna cut it in my create survival world. Keep up the great work.
I love ur videos but when I started using Java and the create mod for the first time there was something off with it the way I download it and it not going into my Minecraft version 1.19 and the inventory u use is it a mod to (I see it everywhere)

I feel the same playing without the elytra is less convenient but it is more enjoyable actually using other features.

I like Elytra its an endgame thing and if your like me and build modpacks that have the Project MMO mod even if someone has an Elytra they wouldn't be able to use it until they earn the ability to do so through the PMMO skills.

U can take the wrench and R-Click the deployer and then put the flamethrower in the deployer (It has to have a block,entity in front it)

there is another create jetpack mod that is fueled like the copper backtank and has a hover mode
The main way to fuel is: Have it in your offhand and drop the coal from what i tested
