Take your blankets and nail them in front of your windows and then put furniture and any free standing cabinets in front on the blankets . If you got your chickens in your garage cover the window with that cabinet for them maybe tie ropes around the furniture or cabinets to make more stable and stay in a room that has no windows. You can use your mattresses for protection from sharp glass and flying debris. Be creative I would even turn off the gas and electric. Make sure ur in a inside room or bathroom with matteses on you is your best best. My prayers are with you and your family, you and your family are strong and will make it through this!!!

And they also had the houses that were made to sustain during hurricanes. But the houses still got severely damaged and windows broke allowing water to flood the house. It was a wreck. I wish I could say something more positive but sometimes the truth isn't positive.
They will survive as long as they find a shortcut out of there after the storm and a way to get to safe place without relying on shelters because there will be no food left in the grocery stores

It was only yesterday that the forecast was altered to say Tampa was in danger. They'd intended to get friends and family from further south to come to their house because Tampa was originally just going to be the outer bands of rain.

Put some of your valuables in your dishwasher. Its water proof and connected to the cabinets so it probably wont get ripped off... I hope you guys stay safe. Also I live in Oklahoma and the only natural disasters we have are earthquakes and tornados. They are of course natural disasters but they arent really ever that bad. You guys should move to Oklahoma ❤️ Seriously stay safe🙏

isismommy1019, they wont float away if they are filled with water, its actually a tactic that has been helping people a lot. it can keep up to 12+ inches of water out depending on the size of the trash bag.
