From COVID to now, I’ve went from 268lbs at 5’9 to now 185lbs. I’m hoping to lose that last 20lbs or so as well, and man, it’s been tough! I’m definitely one of those people who hide behind the numbers when trying to avoid the body dysmorphia and self image issues, so hearing Sal reiterate that was super helpful in reminding myself to go about this the right way.
Try taking a 10-20 minute brisk walk after lunch or dinner 2-3 times a week, stan efferding has a video on the benefits, also if youve cut your calories too drastically too quick then bump up your calories by 100 everyday for a whole week and you might lose some extra lbs, keep going up 100 a week everyday until you plateau again then drop by 100 every week after like a regular cut.
Hey guys I recently started following you and love your content. I am a 5"10 above knee amputee....it's extremely hard to figure out what my actual weight is or should be because my prosthetic may or may not weigh more than my normal leg. I am a amateur boxer and kickboxer and compete in jiu jitsu and recently decided to go from the 185-190 weight class to around 155. Do you have any tips for better calculating nutrients and advice for adaptive fitness goals??
My weight platued, so i guess i need to do cardio with my weights 😂😂😂😂 tldr i did cardio from 245>210 with in a year before covid then 215>202 with just weights with in a year since gym reopened in california
The real struggle is maintaining. As a person loses weight, their stomach also gets smaller which after a while you’ll get full quicker using less food. But it’s easy to jump off track and have eat a few hundred calories here and there and next thing you know months of effort is gone :/ I know this way too well. It’s not a weight loss journey, it’s a life change in total
The stomach doesn't shrink, the hormone affecting your need to eat as much works against the action of over consumption. AKA. The hormone makes you not want to eat more as it feels like it is fully refreshed already.
I’m 5’3 1/2 and 111-113lbs. My maintenance right now is about 1,700. I’d really like to increase my maintenance calories. How high could I make my maintenance calories realistically?
That was so responsible to discuss body dysmorphia. Great integrity.

Stomach is elastic, it stretches when its full and returns to normal when it's empty (if you let it get empty) never grows larger or smaller
We don't need the callers or their backstory!
