MW definitely preferred Chi Burst vs Chi Wave. Both are so severely undertuned to be worth pressing but the difference with Chi Burst is the almost guaranteed reset on FLS when used (which for MW is vital). It was never pressed for dmg or healing.
I like the class tree changes. Leaning into Roll as a utility skill is cool. Based on some of the big changes they made to the MW and WW trees, I think in a coming build we are going to see a BrM tree tuning pass or revision if not a full rework.
I mean...im hopeful theres more work to be done on BrM as a whole, but so far - basically nothing has changed. We still need to be baby sat by a healer since we are the least self sufficient tank in the game, we have 500 abilities to manage to perform at or below the middle of the pack, and if we werent broken in raids we'd be literally the worst spec in the game comparitively. Id really like to see the disc priest treatment. Reduce button bloat, combine multilple key presses into one, free up key binds, give us a bit more agency in our own success. Its unfortunate that the thing that keeps BrM interesting is the verry thing that keeps us from being properly balanced - and that thing is that we are not VDH.
Sounds like you got Bounce back confused. It does not require you to be at 12% health now, it requires you to take 12% of your max health as damage. So it will trigger more easily now, for more with 1 less point, that is a buff.
I think the bounce back talent is worded funny. Right now it’s when you take 20% of your health from one hit, is it not? Not down to 20% life. So 12% is a huge buff to it
Re-read bounce back my man... It was a major buff to the proc rate and nerf to the Dr... Meaning they wanted it to proc more often for a softer amount bringing the Dr bloat more in line. Also major Fort Brew changes so it was a buff not a nerf.
Megasett has a MW video from the alpha explaining some of the unclear wordings. Fort Brew is down to a 2 min CD. What do you think about losing the group buffs?
They don t dicrease the number of button have to press with brew... That s why the spec is not played by lot of gamer + the fact the spec is hard to be good with.
It's very useful on Spiteful weeks or in dungeons with fixating mobs. Sadly it's too hard to take with sacrificing a strong talent. I'm glad it's getting added to the base tree.

Brewmaster monk bloat is insane. Bloat =//= skill. I recall MoP brew had a very nice amount of abilities

17:55 Fortifiying brew became 2min base line for WW and MW, thats why its decreasing only 30 sec. Brew got the 6 min one

Has always been dr after you take X% damage actually. Just the numbers have changed how much you need to get hurt.

yes he read it incorrectly.. its when you take 12% of your health in a single hit youll get a 20% DR.. insane buff

You missed it but Dampen harm is now baseline with brewmaster along with statue so I'm not sure why the statue was still in the tree

It may be a niche Talent, but my ox statue will forever be cherished and I'm glad they dint just remove remove it.
