I love Milow, for his soothing voice, his story telling and his good heart, he's truly a special type of guy. Miss Montreal (Sanne) went through an emotional rollercoaster this episode... and i loved every second of it, she too is a very special person, a lovely lady we need to cherish. In all my years of watching this show, i cannot recall ever seeing the signer step of the stage and walk up to the honoree and sit next to them for the last moments of the song. That made it double ... no triple more special, more impactful, that moment there were only two people there, Milow and Sanne... You did a good job again, Valerie. We have so many beautiful songs that are completely unknown abroad. So we are not only champs in covering songs. We have also our own good song writters. Fortunately we see more and more dutch songwritters writting songs in our dutch language. Some people like that and others don't. The last categorie had their time as almost all all dutch songs were written in English. So they are used to that. I like this year's edition, because our singer song writters get the opportunity to show what they can. Please don't forget Nick and Simon, the 2 presenters of this year. They are great singers too. that's what i like about the show aswell. singers singing ... strip away all the bullcrap. No agents, no audience. You can love what you do as much as you want. as soon as it becomes your work it becomes a job. It is no longer about what you love, but what the audience loves. This show is strip away all the crap. get back to those boys and girls that sang in their bed room for no better reason then it was fun. No bounds, singers and their favorite songs. bring them to a tropical island resort, and just get to gether to have fun. sort of a sleepover for singers.
