GDN Assaults another area of our ignorance, with Elemental power! This video Holds our attention in an Iron grip. It is Golem to make us learn new things! It makes my tail go Warg with joy over new designs!
Hello Grim. A very good video on the massively armored 'Assault' class of battle armor. I was unfamiliar with them before this, due to not having played against them before I took a break from Battletech a few years before I retired from my job. As for battle armor though, I am familiar with the earlier types. In fact, I was able to capture several Elemental 'points' (5 Elemental suits) during a battle where I diverted my Jump Infantry to a secondary mission objective. The Infantry jumped right into an Elemental camp in the middle of the night. Having only to overcome a pair of Elementals out of their armor to take the camp. The other Elementals awoke to the sounds of MG fire and rushed out of their tents, only to find themselves in point blank range of several vehicles with lots and lots of MGs, as well as the Jump Infantry's weapons. They wisely surrendered. The two wounded Elementals begged to be 'put down', since their wounds would prevent them from being Warriors. The male of the pair had lost both legs, and the female had lost one arm and most of the other. My forces took them and their friends captive as 'bondsmen' and took their suits along as prizes. Once back out in the Periphery and returned to Styx and the moon Hades, Both of the wounded Elementals were fitted with the best prosthetics I could build. The wounded male took the name Vulcan Diomedes, since Cynthia Diomedes had taken him in honorable combat. He took the name Vulcan after being assigned to assist my efforts to reproduce Clan Elemental Suits. Although He never returned to combat, Vulcan has become my Lead Tech for all Battle Armor Design and Development. The female wounded Elemental chose not to return to combat. She had bad experiences that shook her view of 'honorable' combat. Especially after being ordered, along with her point members, to slaughter unarmored infantry. Even though capturing them would have been easy, and breaking their weapons would have removed them as a combat threat, she and her companions were ordered to kill them all. This badly affected her and she lost faith in the Clan Warrior Way. Again, outfitted with the best prosthetics I could build, She took the name of Malaika Uhura. She chose Uhura as the surname of the soldier that had 'captured' her. The Medic of the Jump Infantry that saved her life, even though she wanted to die. Kinsho Urhura (Japanese-African-Texan ancestry) convinced her that her Destiny was not to die, but to help others to live. Malaika was given a new set of Elemental Armor, but she was unhappy with it. Vulcan did extensive modifications to her armor after several long talks with Malaika. Malaika's battle suit has had all it's offensive weaponry, other than the battle claws removed. It now mounts an extensive suite of Medical Gear and even a limited storage for cooled blood plasma. In Combat, Malaika holds back until her companions need her. She then charges out to retrieve the fallen and treat their wounds. She has personally 'saved' at least several hundred men and women of the Ghost Lions Legions, even retrieving several downed Mechwarriors from their fallen Mechs before the Enemy could capture or kill them. So many reports of praise for her bravery under fire, and her tender care to the fallen, could not be ignored. Jason Leonidis, the current 'Lord of Lions' of the Ghost Lions Legion, awarded her the 'Lion's Heart', with full Golden Star for her bravery. She was also awarded the name 'The Angel of the Battlefield' by any Infantry she served with. The Legions Infantry further awarded her their own 'unofficial' commendation... Her Halo and Wings. Malaika's Battle Armor now sports a golden circlet implanted into the 'head' of her armor, as well as a small holographic device mounted on the Armor's back. This Holo-emitter projects a slowly beating set of large holographic wings whenever Malaika is inside her armor, and only then. Malaika thinks that the reports of her wings are just a joke, since she has never seen them herself. And since no one else has received such an accolade by the troops they serve with, she's never seen such an emitter work. It is known that Malaika will exit her battle suit to aid a fallen soldier, crouching the suit down to provide as much protection as she can to the fallen, then exiting to perform 'field expedient' medical treatment before returning to her armor and carrying off the wounded person. To Malaika, they are all her brothers and sisters, simply because they have never treated her in any way less then that. The Infantry has taken Vulcan and Malaika as their own. Sort of like the Ancient American Marines... Once a Lion, always a Lion. Vulcan married the Head of Research for Battlesuit Design, Professor Vanessa Graves. Malaika is rumored to be 'stalking' a certain Mechwarrior. She has literally thrown him over her shoulder on occasions to go to dances, parties, and dinners. Hector 'Tex' M'Butu Jackson (mostly African decent) does not know what to do about this situation... He refused to capitulate and just 'give up and let her win'... but he's worried about 'pissing off The Angel'. When last seen, Hector was on the Angel's lap, being thoroughly kissed into oblivion. No one has heard a word of protest from either of them. Personally, I expect she will 'get her way' and wedding bells ring in the near future. Kinsho is almost always seen smiling... his best friend has a girlfriend... finally. The other three Elementals of the Point have become the lead Testers for new battle armor designs as well as the primary core Instructors in battle armor tactics and uses for the Ghost Lions Legions. All have earned many battlefield commendations and promotions and all have married Free Birth Legion personnel. All have expressed their loyalty to the Legion, and if captured again by the Clans, they all assert they will die rather than 'convert' back to Clan Ways. Once a Lion, Always a Lion.
I remember when Battletech and Warhammer 40,000 were to be working in simpatico... until money, got in the way. Funny thing though, if people are not greedy, the introduction of "lost STC's" which include introduction of these clans technology as well as the world built for Battletech human worlds would benefit not only Battletech but Warhammer 50k also. This would be a panacea... not only as a conjoining of what was to be, but what would be to come... just saying.

Been playing around with battle armor in the BTA3062 mod, and I kind of dread facing clan armor.
These need models ASP!
I think most of them do have models. I usually can just find low res pictures of them so I don't add them unless I have to.
