I was a 4 or 5 yrs little boy and this was the first classical music I heard... I was puzzled that why I felt I had heard it before and my dad told me "It's because you are listening to Chopin, he made music of all human souls, everyone feels they heard it somewhere before".. I fell in love with Chopin right then. It gave me inspiration about romantic pictures in my mind and I wanted to show them to everyone so I became a painter and made a lot of paintings while listening to "Rondo à la Krakowiak, Op. 14." and "Concerto No 2 in F minor" which recorded on the same tape. Long has past and anytime I listen to works of Frédéric Chopin - specially these two - it takes me back to that first moment and I see beautiful pictures in my mind and I just want to paint them...
I like every Chopin's piece, I think every of his composition is the most beautiful thing that you can hear from music and when I was first time listened to Chopin ,also I felt I heard it before. I would like to see your paintings. Thank you for a beautiful comment :)
I know nothing about Cracow or its surrounds.I live in India and I have been listening to Chopin for 60years.Krakowiak never failed to move me. The music is so intimate and personal, I feel Chopin has personally composed it for me!
Ashish Thomas No. Unfortunately. I was a musical illiterate in a small Indian town until I woke up to music like this. I love music of my own country south India.. it is called Carnatic music.
Cracow is about 120 km from this view on image - Tatra's Mountains and look more like Prague or Vienna in architecture style. Best regards form Cracow.
What a genius Chopin was, to write music like this....in the midst of the constant warring of humanity and unclean spirits, it is there to soothe our souls and minds.
It is a music from my homeland.. not quite the Highlands of the Carpathians but from the Province of Małopolska, Province of Cracow.. No one but French father born Chopin could describe in his music Polish soul..
Immeasurable beauty in such a small work.. Chopin is a true genius and a hallmark of quality over any sort of quantity. The ending is breathtakingly beautiful.
Once a week, I commute 4 hours for my job: 2 to get there & 2 back. I heard this for the first time today on the return trip home while I sat in city traffic. I'm a casual fan of Chopin at best but I fell head over heels in love with this.
Superb!! Composed for Princess Anna Zofia Sapieha, the wife of the great Polish patriot Prince Adam Jerzy Czartoryski, and herself a notable philanthropist.
Bogudan Bogosz Kolego Bogudanie, poucz mnie i oświeć: które dzieła są tak jednoznacznie ‚lepsze’? symfonicznych dzieł Chopina nie jest aż tak wiele i znam wszystkie. Poza Polonezem Es-dur niewiele (moim skromnym zdaniem) ustępuje temu w/w
7:31 The transitions are so freeing , like a breath of fresh air . It is more powerfull If you listen from earlier point . 12:24 also nice change of pace .

Chopin has that effect on many. Welcome to the club.
Each time you listen to Krakowiak you are in Cracow. Music knows no borders.

Love from Japan to Chopin and Poland
sparkly, melancolic, happy, cheeky, all at once. The work of a genius, and a lovely performance by Garrick Ohlsson.
great comment !

This is probably the best orchestral piece Chopin ever composed.
personally it has better orchestration than is PCs ngl
@@iloveballadeno1 Not at all.
@@Dylonely_9274 i can see where you're coming from, but for me his PCs favours the piano for than the orchestra so its a little unequal for me

Wow !!!! Version absolument spectaculaire !!!!! Le pianiste est incroyable !!!!
To piękny utwór F.Chopina jeden z pięknuejszych.
Kurwa po Polsku się naucz pisać.
Wonderfully composed.
Uwielbiam Rondo a la Krakowiak. To chyba najlepszy utwór Chopina, chociaż niełatwo wybierać spośród samych doskonałości.
Zdecydowanie nie najlepszy
Nastia -- Szopen napisał to małe dzieło w wieku zaledwie 18 lat. Gdy był starszy, stworzył dzieła większe i wspanialsze.
Karol Jahn

Wow!
Great piece of music! Elegant, inspired and clever. Good thing Chopin never studied with Kalkbrenner...
Yeah wonder what Chopin did to Kalkbrenny huh?
5:31 That's Paganini's Capriccio N° 24! Oh, Chopin...
BELLEZAS DEL ETERNO GENIO.-.-.-

Is such a beauty
Imagine if chopin was more interested in orchestral cause he would have made many orchestral bangers
This culdn't be more Chopin
I remember you from the Chopin competition live chat. I think we even chatted to each other
3:19 .. sound like his first etude
Or like ballade g moll the middle section or like 1 mvt concerto e minor
more like his 25/11 a little slower
Must see Cracow and Zelazova Wola before I die.
这是可以一天听50遍都不觉得多的好作品
Inspired by dance? WOW! dancing for joy!!!!!

I just don't get it.
Understandable.
Why ?
Maybe try listening to Krakowiak (polish folk dance) first and get familiar with its melody
