Great work, Al is still incredible! Friday Night in San Francisco is in my top 5 guitar albums of all time and I've been trying to learn the version of this they play forever.
Hello 👋. Back in October 1984 Guitar Magazine for the practicing musician has a tablature transcription to Mediterranean Sundance . It shows the first chord as Cmajor 7 at the 5 Th fret , C6 , C , C6 , CMaj 7 , C6 , C , C6 , Em9 . From The Album Elegant Gypsy . I thought this maybe of some interest to you .
I'll ask Al if he could post it on Musicnotes so that he gets his royalty whenever it's sold. He's on my Facebook feeds. Ran through the chords shown here by you and the melody sounds good.
Many thanks Ozgur, absolutely brilliant, I love this piece of music, although I'm not very experienced im playing through this slowly every day. Great playing and really useful tab. Cheers Hugh
Very good lesson ! I tried this tune 30 years ago and wished we had this lesson then. Now it´s much clearer. The Taylor sounds nice, which strings are you using ?
Hey Robert, Thanks for asking. My patreon page is new and I am trying my best to update as much as I can. There are some Patreon only lessons (not on my youtube page) and more.
to know how to play this piece you have to study 20 of guitar the complete piece includes 30 sheets of music after 20 or 25 years of music always if you can play it best wishes
@@OzzGuitar As someone who comes from the south of spain. I must say that flamenco is not my proficiency either. And that is saying alot. I like to be able to choose between both strings styles. And Al Di Meola indeed played with a metal string guitar while paco accompanied him, which to me was the best masterpiece I've ever seen playing them both together. Just because of them I shall play flamenco on both nylon and metal strings even tho my proficiency is blues :)

This would be better on nylon strings guitar.
I played and taught Al Di Meola parts. I do love Paco De Lucia but flamenco is not my proficiency

@@patrick2day I agree with you✌️
he actually plays this on a steel string guitar in the video I watched
I thought my youtube was still running @ 1.5 speed from last video
🤘😀
Dude you're really good, but this piece really craves that classical guitar, steel strings really don't work great here.
Forgive me but its to my ears youre pressing the strings a bit too hard or is youre Taylor so springy souinding :)
It’s just old strings.

je n aime pas au médiator je le joue avec les doigts et je préfère le son de la guitare de Paco
@@robertobonomo7983 Me too I love Paco but I am a pick player...
OMG, Never buy an acoustic guitar befor hearing it, this one sounds so thin, even big name on headstock
