Absolutely.Have just discovered his music and despite being an agnostic I'm thankful for the masterpieces in music & architecture that religion has fostered. All his music is superb.
That last note - I swear it is the most difficult choral note every sung. I've been singing chorale music my whole 63yrs. I swear, I don't remember what age I started... That note can go SO hiddeously sour so easily. I just know they spent so much time, exercises... bled over that note... and they had it. It sailed. It didn't sour. This is my fav. performance of this... the voices, the speed, the interpretation and the crystal clear recording...
Very impressive. Actually shows up some of the compositional accentricities of the piece. I say accentricities with respect to the harmonically violent nature of the rest of the suite/mass, although the Benedictus is easily sublime in that context. However as a standalone it is very difficult to make the octave jump without plunging into harmonic hades. It can work if it is brought in very gently and with generous tempo rubato imho. Best in a cathedral like space. On its own it needs to be approached more as a memory, a distant echo, as opposed to the preceedent harmonic immediacy it may excuse itself of in the context of the performance of the whole work. Thats why the Benedictus is "mindblowing" when you hear The Armed Man in its entirety for the 1st time.
Beautiful until they got to the Largo, and then the Sopranos lost their shit. Nothing ruins a chorale like Sopranos coming over hot. You can do Fortissimo without drowning the rest of the choir.
This might be the most beautiful small choir rendition of this ever.
Absolutely divine. Our choir has done this....but not even close to your excellence. Congratulations. Wonderful acoustics too!
素晴らしい!
コーラスの響きがこんなに神秘的に響くのを自分の耳で聴くとは。
歌声が美しくブレンドされ、まるで天上の音楽のように心に迫ってきます。
静かな感動がいつまでも心の中に残ります…

Just stunning , thank you 🙏
This proves my old belief that an excellent group of 16 trained singers is a greater musical joy than a massive ensemble. Well and beautifully done.
THANK YOU for sharing this with us! You performed this so very beautifully!!! ❤️
I`m thinking Mr. Jenkins has carved out a place for himself along side the great masters with this sublime piece of music.thank you !
