KD Pathak and Varun witness the death of a girl, who is run over by a speeding car. KD suspects that the girl was murdered and calls up inspector Dave. A copy of Premchand's novel is found in the girl’s bag. Dave informs KD that the girl's name was Ria and her parents, too, had died in a road accident. KD suspects that the novel contains a clue to the girl's death and begins an investigation into the case. This irks Varun, who wants KD to represent his friend in the court. The bond between KD and Varun is strained as KD refuses to represent his friend. Later, KD, following Varun's trail, reaches a library. Then, the sound of a gunshot startles the security guard, who rushes inside and finds a gun in KD's hand. KD is suspected of murdering Varun and is taken into custody. KD decides to represent himself in the case. During the courtroom proceedings, Inder Mohan Jaiswal claims that KD had a motive behind the murder. Later, KD learns that the copy of Premchand's novel found in Ria's bag is related to Varun's murder.

I am second time commenting. Although it is a man-written story but Varun's attempt to force KD Pathak to fight case of his friend Abbas and KD's ignorance to Varun's request and their burning debate caused Varun to go out and get killed in the library making KD a criminal of having killed his own Assistant and thereafter feeling sad with wet eyes on watching dead body of Varun created a very sentimental and emotional situation for me and watching these scenes also made my eyes to drop. Varun being a handsome, healthy, having shrewd eye and sensible approach to probe into the facts of any case taken by KD, make him an important part of KD's team. But KD's success in finding real killer of Varun makes him a real hero. Attempt of Public Prosecutor to force the Judge to offer his judgement against KD to be hanged, makes him a bad lawyer. Picturization of this story makes Producer and Director worthy of high appreciation.
In future episode , varun will return. 👍
