He was right to get mad! Guys are generally stronger than girls and he's a big dude too, so that hit must've hurt even if it was with a toy hammer.
I honestly would of told him off if I was a host tbh
they used to do that hammer thing in every episode, it really doesnt hurt but everyone gets so shocked at the moment that they usually cant speak.
if you think it hurts let me quickly explain the physics behind that TOY hammer:
there are holes in it that enables the air to get in and out, what that means is that when you hit something with it the air quickly goes out and basically since there is no air being compressed all of the energy comes from the weight of the plastic itself, and last time i checked a few grams of plastic hitting at about 50-70kph doesnt have enough kinetic energy to hurt, youll definitely feel it but an adult wouldnt even care

The compilation is cool and all, but without context it's hard to know why some clips are so funny. There are many references to either Twice, the other hosts, or game rules/circumstances in general that are missed.
EX: 7:22 Heechul (of Super Junior) is making fun of that other guy's hit song, and mic technique that he was infamous for.

The ones in the uniforms are from a show hosted by all the guys in the room. The show is called Knowing Bros, with Twice as guests. They showed parts of clips from the show playing some games are the must plays in these variety shows.
1. When guests come to their show, they are supposed to ask questions for the floor to answer (sometimes even questions the other members dont know about). Eg. Mina asked about what the members recently told her / Dahyun asked about what dish she would choose and why etc.
The ones with white background is a variety show called Weekly Idol. With two male hosts. And their must plays in the room are the random play dances / 2 x speed dances. Funny as hell. But sadly not shown here. This is the one with Jeongyeon saying about giving her number and getting hit in the head. No worries, she is fine :) In fact they got a lot of gifts from them after the show :D
There are other games commonly played for variety shows too.
1. Poem/story game. Especially for Nayeon. So using her name, they were supposed to create poems/stories using the names starting off each line with the name. Eg in English, my name is Andy. AN: An ant started crawling on my hand. DY: Decided not to care about it. In korean, it is much easier to do this because of their sentence structure and their vocabulary. In the clip, during Knowing Bros, Nayeon's one is about how free and busy the person becomes. Dahyun one in the other show was pretty good with the poem saying how he wanted to see dahyun under a microscope. But tzuyu one was funny because hers is under a gastroscope.
if i havent watched the full video of those clips i would be confuse as hell as well😭 about the last clip its shocking to see they hit girls like that but its their way of wishing success and among the members jeongyeon is the closest to coni so maybe its their way of teasing each other
You should watch every TWICE episodes of Knowing Bros (아는 형님), maybe you will understand the jokes.

He's a big dude, he really shouldn't be hitting girls like that even if it's with a toy hammer. I got mad when I saw that, too. Shouldn't it be common sense not to do that? A lot of people dont like that guy because hes very aggressive. He not only pushed and smashed jeongyeon, he also has said pretty hurtful comments to other idols in the show. The hosts find it funny but it's really not because they dont take the idols feelings into consideration.

That guy who hit jeongyeon in the end got a lot of backlash for it. Stupid ass man, making jeongyeon tear up a little. Even if it didnt hurt or whatever other excuse, it was wrong and onces didnt leave him.

Doni is a thug. There was a huge backlash from fans after he violently shoved Jeongyeon on Idol Room in 2018. Since then he isn't as handsy with the guests. My guess is he was reprimanded by his boss.

When bts were on weekly idol suga composed a song for both of them and they didnt even appreciate it. Even though yoongi worked so hard on it they made fun of it.
OKAY. To make it clear, that hammer does hurt or doesn’t depending on the force it uses. Clearly it might not hurt to you, but it clearly hurt to Jeongyeon as you can see she is holding back tears as her eyes became red. She just laughed it off because she didn’t wanna show the pain. So everyone stop saying it doesn’t hurt.
she was probably holding back tears because she was expecting it to hurt and got shocked because nothing happened, our brains can play pranks on ourselves sometimes.
besides if it did hurt they wouldnt have used that for every single episode
the only side-effect that comes to mind is that the hammer seems to make everyone quieter for a few minutes, i remember watching iu get hit and she was so out-of-this-world for 5 minutes straight, she couldnt talk. but then minutes later they confirm to everyone that they were ok and that it was just a shock

@@kat49924 "that makes no sense" yeah its really hard to talk about human brains, anyway you know when something moves really fast near you and you notice that, thats because we can hear the air moving quickly around us, the hammer was going really fast and she could hear it, in a fraction of second she probably felt really scared because she could only hear it but not see it, then it hits her and shes just confused.

yeah these two hosts are very problematic. They ridicule and straight up hurt idols all the time and brush it off as humor.
