Sorry, not being lazy here, I am genuinely trying to learn the Lithuanian language, and it's no secret that it is a really hard one. I've learned basic words and phrases, that's about it. Can anyone provide an English translation? I've watched many of her videos and find them enchanting! Aciu, labai gerai!
I can try my best to help you out here, the song was meant to support and praise Ukrainian resistance to russian terror of 2022 and ongoing: Not to turn away Not even if the world is crumbling into ash Not to have a doubt That a hand reaching to you would become your home Not to turn away Not even if the world as we know it wont come back Not to have a doubt That a hand reaching to you would become your home The only home you have x3 There are new faces arround The only home you have And it's my hand in yours Cause you didn't turn arround Did not get afraid When the sky was falling down Just the tear of pain Will wash the face To stand for a day or for eternity And get a soil ready for a sunflower seed (reference for Ukrainian resistance) Did not get afraid When the sky was falling down Just a tear of pain will wash your face To stand a day ...
Thank you so much for your time and effort in responding to my question. I did not know that this was in support of our friends in Ukraine, which only makes it more admirable. The Lithuanian language seems to me to be quite an elegant language with very deep roots particularly when it is put to song and with heartfelt emotion. Hopefully, I'll know a little bit more about this quite difficult language before a trip I have planned in the fall of 2024 to explore my own roots, my grandparents having emigrated to the US from Lithuania in 1918. Before I leave this world, I would like to know more about where I came from. Labai vertinama! @@Tar1ff
@@JimM-zs8ul Hey sorry for a late reply but if you will be in Vilnius- give me a PM and we can arrange a meet up for a pint. Don't worry- we are well aware that our language is quite hard to learn and we aren't judgmental until its a permenant resident who'd chose not to learn it.
Lyrics:
nenusisukti
net jei pasaulis pradeda byrėti pelenais
neabejoti
kad ištiesta ranka gali tapti namais
nenusisukti
net jei pasaulis kokį žinom daugiau nebeateis
neabejoti
kad ištiesta ranka gali tapti namais
vieninteliai namai
vieninteliai namai
vieninteliai namai
dabar kiti veidai
vieninteliai namai
mano ranką laikai
vieninteliai namai
nes nenusisukai
neišsigando krintančio dangaus
tik skausmo ašara veidą nuplaus
stovėti dieną ar amžius amžinus
ir taip saulėgrąžos sėklai dirvą išraust
vieninteliai namai
vieninteliai namai
vieninteliai namai
dabar kiti veidai
vieninteliai namai
mano ranką laikai
vieninteliai namai
nes nenusisukai

Not to turn away
Not even if the world is crumbling into ash
Not to have a doubt
That a hand reaching to you would become your home
Not to turn away
Not even if the world as we know it wont come back
Not to have a doubt
That a hand reaching to you would become your home
The only home you have x3
There are new faces arround
The only home you have
And it's my hand in yours
Cause you didn't turn arround
Did not get afraid
When the sky was falling down
Just the tear of pain
Will wash the face
To stand for a day or for eternity
And get a soil ready for a sunflower seed (reference for Ukrainian resistance)
Did not get afraid
When the sky was falling down
Just a tear of pain
will wash your face
To stand a day
