Raccoon preventer goes Pew Pew.
Always look forward to a Ryan Knorr update! That front Rye is looking good! Can’t wait to see the bent grass putting green in the corner of the lot 🤣
Here in Denver it has been unreal. So much rain. Havent seen that happen in a long long time here. No need for irrigation until now which is crazy. Loving it!
Yes, this was so amazing. Always trust the process!
2 years and my lawn instal doesn’t look this good 😂. Deer loved the delicious Kentucky Blue I planted. Thanks for the update Ryan videos are top notch sir.
Love that the tttf and micro clover are doing so well without any fertilizer and irrigation. Will be looking into this for my yard
Looks great! Enjoy the update
Glad you covered the uber-seeded areas that are too thick. Lot of my lawn ends up looking like that. Maybe a good dethatch to thin it out?
Looking great Ryan! Here’s to surviving the heat of the summer
I love when frogs get out of the rain!!!!!!!
Always a good day when you put out a video!
Loving the Lawn Supply Products on my turf this year Ryan - the AMS, EquilizORR, GreenORR, and ResistORR have been working like a charm! The color is uniform now and responds immediately to the spoon feedings. Wife thinks it's crazy how much I"m spraying but hey - it's bringing results 😎 My best to the 3 Muskateers 🐶🐶🐶
Crazy how good that lawn looks already. Every time I think about switching from rye to KBG you change my mind lol
Crazy this video showed up when it did. We had 2 of the conditions you referenced: mushrooms and dark stripes. I was glad to show my husband the reasons and answers to what probably happened with the dark stripes and to not worry about the mushrooms. Thanks!!
Love your seed products!
The lawn in front of the house looks awesome here in New York city it's been raining for 5 days in row now
I’ve installed a Unifi Protect G4 bullet cam and IR flood light. Works great if you have power at the shed.
Your lawn looks awesome. Your recommendations on crabgrass control that you gave me on a earlier video have been spot on. Getting ready to pull the trigger on that backpack sprayer that seems to be working good for you. Want to kill off all the different kinds of weeds before fall seeding. A .22 will work on the racoons. had a outbreak of rabies a few years back. Had to deal with moles last year. looked like a interstate map in the back half acre. Those mouse bait blocks work great for them.
@12:56 Yes! Really considering that for my 7000sq ft front yard. Curious how it does with summer heat or drought
Green grass EVERYWHERE! Great video bro. Keep on keeping on.
On the CoCoRaHS rain gauge - any time I get over an inch, I pour out the first inch, then place the top funnel on the inside tube to insure I won't spill any of the remaining amount. Hope this helps...
Put a radio in the middle of your yard. Works like a charm in sweet corn plots.
Beautiful as always. Getting nervous about the 100s coming in this weekend
You can have some of our rain. Here in northern MA we’ve had over 8 inches of rain in June so far.
We have had heavy rain for a week straight here in Southeast VA. I’m ready for it to stop.
Your property is stunning!
Nice 16:9 cinematic intro. Getting higher quality production.
Love the Wildflower area. I have a steep hill I planted Wildflowers on and it is beautiful. Weeds can be an issue though.
First Aussie 😁. Ryan, the lawn Ranch has come a long way since you first turned up. A great transformation. 😎
That's what happened to my front lawn last year after an overseeding. I thought it was the squirrels, but it was happening overnight. I put down Grubex, but I never saw any grubs. I have no idea what they were digging for.
That's impressive for a spring seeding of a new lawn! I think you know what what your doing🤣🤣
Hey I have put a radio in my garden before and it seemed to work well not sure if it will work for you
The rye is looking fantastic bud, I also have the animals digging for something? I guess I will have to put out the traps again!
Ryan, you have an infestation buddy. Get yourself like 5 Duke's Dog Proof Racoon traps. They are super effective. I'd suggest trapping, shooting, and burying the little buggers. If you do use these traps, don't put them in the grass because the coon will go absolute crazy trying to get out of it and they tear up any and everything within reach of the chain. Use dog or cat food to bait it. Make sure when you stake the trap down, you do it in firm dirt or use one of those trampoline anchors. Good luck!
About the shrooms I have one spot in my yard closer to forest that I have same for 2or 3 years this year nothing. But I heard that of mushroom grows there soil is extremely healthy and rich in nutrients so that calms me down I always cut them of with mover anyways😂
What irrigation pump did you end up going with? And what hp and psi are you running at?
Meanwhile in New England we’re fighting off fungus due to too much rain. We can send some down your way while the azoxystrobin works
whats the grass you have in the front lawn? Im getting ready to over seed my lawn in the coming weeks. But trying to decide on the perfect seed to live and look good through winter and also look great during the summer. I have some shaded aread in my back lawn because of some huge trees I have so thats a factor Im trying to figure out.
Looking sweet
I have an old tree we cut down a few years back, and I get very large, woody mushrooms growing around the roots. Like if I hit one with the lawnmower it rattles around, and dulls the blade until it shoots it out, or I stop it. The mushrooms are so hard they don't even break up. I usually kick them out, which I have to be careful, because it takes 4 or 5 good kicks and if you hit it wrong, it will stub a toe. Is there anything to put down for them? Or should I just keep kicking them out? They leave large holes behind, like your racoon damage, and sometime the grass grows through them so it rips out turf to remove them. They are rather nasty things.
Would the micro clover be a good way to start off a new lawn that's going over a recently cleared timber lot?
Those dill pickle seeds are amazing!
So addicting!
Have you ever tried St Gabriel's Milky Spores? Tried it back in 2011 at both houses and have not had a grub issue since. Nor applied any other grub control since.
Hey Ryan the place is looking wonderful. I also have the same backpack sprayer that you recently bought and I love it. I spray everything with it. Pest control around the house as well as your one gallon bundle from simple lawn solutions. I know you are doing a lot with lawn supply company. Are you still working with simple lawn as well. Take care and have a wonderful holiday next week.
Yep still working with them. I started lawn supply with some more specialty stuff in mind but the simple lawn liquids will work well too
Im in zone 9 California with 85% fescue %15 KBG
At 4” tall and watered, grass had stood moist in the shade areas and become brown and thin.
Im thinking of cutting down to 3” for this summer and i went on a week trip and didn’t water since i dont have an irrigation system it wasnt possible to get watered. Anyway, i applyed grub ex 2 weeks ago but now i want to prepare for summer heat. The highs here will be 90 next week. Any suggestions? They sell some summer feed at home depot and / or should i apply seed in the thin areas?
@RyanKnorrLawnCare where’d you get the planter boxes?
Hi Ryan. When can I apply iron to a new lawn?
I purchased and use a Gamo Swarm Maxxim G2 .22 Cal Multi-Shot Pellet Rifle... Raccoons aren't tearing up my lawn anymore.
Cut the tube on the sprayer and link up a different sprayer. Lots of fittings and attachments to do so.
New porch, chair, and a good rainstorm is the best - never pass up.
Where did you get your teejet wand and nozzles
I get loads of rain when tropical storms, tropical depressions, and hurricanes come through.
Looks great Ryan. Too bad your buddy Connor Ward can't show his grass as he doesn't seem do any videos anymore. Sissy grass for the WIN!!
Awesome
A TTF plot cut at 2" would be fun to see compared to one you cut super low
Any plans to get the reel mower attachment for the Ventrac?
Maybe in the future yes
What teejet number do you use. Really like the fan on that one
This one is the AIXR1004 I believe
The plot thickens.
you have done extensive testing. i currently live near the bottom of the transition zone (East TN) and have a KBG lawn. I dont care too much about monostand, but just want a consistent green lawn with thin blades. I tend to get patches in the KBG around Aug and september and need to overseed becuase they are bad enough but outside those two months, the yard looks great the rest of the year. would perennial rye be an ok option to get a quick fix at the end of the summer and fill those spots for the winter season? would the rye survive the summer or kbg take over and fill in the spots of rye?
The rye is going to look a lot darker in those spots and is very likely to survive the next summer if the blue is surviving
First, thank you for my order. I have a question about Equalizer. I received my order and wanted to know with temperatures here in Jacksonville Florida in the height 90’s is it safe to put down Equalizer?
You will want to apply in the early evening and let it sit on the leaf blades of the grass and then irrigate in the early morning hours. Thanks for your support!
I can’t believe Ryan was out working in the lawn at 545 am 😮😂
How many pounds of N does a 4oz app of EqualizOrr put down? Thanks Ryan!
Interested to hear your thoughts on well contamination. Is your house water on well? Are you concerned with contamination from fertilizers/herbicides? Just wondering as I'm on well water and constantly worry about the balance
We only use ours for irrigation
@@ryanknorrlawncare how concerned would you be about contamination with nitrates and pesticides? Would you use it near your well if it was deep enough?
Rain? What's that? Nice vid as always!
Hi Ryan, what's the reason why you grow clover 🍀 👍
Where are the planters from? :)
Are you concern about you mowing in the clover/weeds area and transplanting them to your fresh grass lawn area?
Where the update with side of house? Said you were thinking of a Rye Fescue mix?
no rain in Houston Texas for almost 2 months 😢😢😢😢
nothing but 100 degrees
Gave up on the swardman?
I have mushrooms as well, so no big deal?
Correct
Just curious, what state are you in @ryanknorrlawncare?
Iowa
My neighbor has a family of 6 racoons living under his crawl space..also has thigh high grass 🙃
🔥
What happend to the swardman mower
Ryan Knorr is living in the future lol 2:43
Knorr with a suppressor dbal and pvs14 that would be some content… “going dark”
Ryan do you have an EGO battery mower as well????? Did you get one of those???
If so how does it compare to Milwaukee???? I know you love the Milwaukee!!!!
Nope don't have an ego
@@ryanknorrlawncare You seem pretty Cocky to me.....Bahhh Dum Dummmm(rim shot)!!!!!! Okay thanks Maybe it is the Timemaster?????
.243 win or a 12ga will clear up that racoon issue right quick.
The racoons know how much of a gentleman you are, sir.
What’s the secret granular that went into the Brinly?
No secret stuff...it's this - ryanknorrlawncare.com/product/greenorr-g/
@@ryanknorrlawncare Cool. Looked like tape over the label.
Someone I know says when you see a problem dig in the area where the problem is to see what is under the lawn.....???????
I have 0 luck with seeding
How about you try using some hot sauce mix in a back pack and put a camera up for us to see if that keeps the Raccoons away.... could be a fun video?
Please tell us if you come up with a cure for those damn Raccoons! Short of using traps, I've been unsuccessful.
I'm gonna have a $300 water bill here in Madison WI.
$750 last year in Kohler!
I will have to sit down to open up the envelope in September!
@@michaelshallue1801
Not one month I hope! Mine might be 300 for June. I had $200 one month last year and didn't water nearly as much as I have this June. 😭
Entire summer watering w/ irrigation on lawn
Ryan grub killer for grubs 😂 50 BMG on Raccoons😂
Is it dry there? The racoons might be digging for water
Actually we've had some decent rain on and off
Do you know if Conor is still alive?
Its June and my yard is dead already, hardly any rain in like 6 weeks, even watering it doesn't help when its in the 90's. Bad year for my lawn atleast
🌱👍
As the LCN says, nothing compares to God's rain.
Just the tip
Time to get those IP cameras installed! While I'm not the Hanwah rep, you may want to take a look into that camera manufacture. It's not on the naughty camera list our government put out.
It’s likely worms. We have had haaaaaaaaauge problems with raccoons doing the same thing and watch them pull massive worms out of our lawn. Same with birds though they don’t really damage the lawn nearly as bad.
Trap trash panda's, and then the doctor orders a .22 caliber nap.
I need something to plant in the large cracks between my massive sandstone pavers I do have a bunch of your ryegrass it's not going to get much water after it's established this is Christopher Berg I see UA-cam changed my name to my channel name ugh
Mushrooms are fine, unless they grow in a circle
