My Dad William was a member of the Society for over 40
Years. Just before we took him to his final resting place we played this song. I will never forget my Dad or this song

This is the first time I have heard RINGMASTERS sing a sacred song. As always, the quality of sound is breathtaking and the venue was perfect. I look forward to hearing more sacred music from these fine men.

In the brass world we often speak about the "Ring of confidence" ,a of cutting off a phrase such that between tuning and air movement the room will literally ring. These gents totally have the "Ring of Confidence".

This hymn was mt grandmothers favorite and she passed peacefully just a few days ago and I wished I could have showed her this piece before she left the Earth. This video will forever be engraved into my mothers and my mind.

My only complaint is the omission of the 3rd verse, probably the greatest verse of all hymns.

Horatio Spafford wrote these words in the 1870s. After the death of his son he sent his wife and 4 daughters ahead of him on vacation to England. The ship had a collision and sank. His wife was the only one of the 5 saved. As his own ship was making the crossing, near Christmas, the captain called him up on deck as they passed the place where his 4 daughters had drowned. It was there he penned the words to this declaration.

Really marwellous, fantastic and very high quality of interpretation. Need to be carefoul about fortissimos, because better if the feeling of power stay in synchron with the real power of voices - sometime lux like too much a littlebit - but generally very big pleasure, fantastic feeling, beautiful sound recording - and acoustical conditions ideal - and specially emotionally beautiful performance this file. The Ringmasters still one of my favourite acapella quartet - stay in this quality and artictical peaks. Gratulation.

Question for the music geeks out there… they sing the first verse in one key, and the second verse in another key. (Or is it just a higher register in the same key???). Which key signatures are they using in this version for 1st/2nd verses, or is it just a register change? Thanks!
