OK just finished the install. Everything seems to work, but I’d like the rgb part of the light to run while car is on…and off when the car is off. Is this possible? I’ve been told that the rgb lights timeout, but I am not sure about that so thought I’d ask. Thanks! Really sharp addition to my gladiator!
Yes. If you wire the red wire on the on/off switch to ignition power and leave the switch on then it will operate when the vehicle is running. Remember the light will not be able to operate with the ignition off though
@@XKGLOW_Lighting sometimes I have no idea why my thought process doesn’t connect the dots! Works perfectly (wired thru the aux switches), so I can configure it to meet my needs. Thanks for your prompt reply. Been a customer of XKGlow for many years and your customer support has (and still is) top notch!
The RGB controller and switch will connect to the battery and mount where ever is safe under the hood. Typically there is room directly behind the battery to safely install the controller where nothing will interfere with the wiring
These are wired to the running lights. If they are not wired to the running lights there will be no on and off signal. If the running lights are on then the side marker will be active as well. As long as the white wire is hooked directly to the battery then the turn signals will work with the running lights not active.
@@TheRandompaint Unfortunately no. There would need to be an additional wire for that to work. The only way for that to work is have your lights on all the time
We went back to the battery to tie into our 12v Source. Here is a link to the install instructions: www.dropbox.com/s/6ahjy9sjjdzt20v/XK-VENT-A-KIT.pdf?dl=0
So you have to run separate 12v wire from battery to fender glows? Thats horse shit, why cant a 12v source be on the xk harness that is ran to controller? @xkglowservice4243
I followed your instructions they don't turn on when the car is on but they function well as blinker lights the diagram you guys send is exactly how I did it and it doesn't run as drls
This product is now available for Jeep JK as well.

How can I get these to run constantly and have turn signals?

Can I just tap the 12v wire to my parking lights instead so it only turns on running mode when I have parking lights on? I don’t want them always on
Yes. You can tap into 12v power through the parking lights.
@@xkglowservice4243 - is this the same if you have factory led lights?

In your video it's wired totally different then how you tell us to wire it. What am I missing
You got to t tap the DRL wire instead of "running". But note they will turn off when the DRL turns off at night
