The grilled fish (except the salmon) were all very good, the pastas and pulled pork were some of our favorites. Lobster night was awesome (you could order more than 1 plate), and all of the desserts were delicious. I tried every dessert.
@@user-lg7es5gr3w Okay. Ship was at capacity for passengers so we found common areas quite crowded. Especially the buffet dining. Would not recommend going between 11:30-1:00. Line ups at food. Round and round to find a table. Did not enjoy lunch experience although the food was good and there was diversity. Main Dining room…oh my, congealed knocci, thin tough steaks, cold food, at one service mains ordered at the same time was delivered to the table delivered 10 minutes apart. Would not recommend. Speciality dining experiences were lovely though. Ports of call, were okay but heavy sell and very touristy Not sure what we were expecting. I think because we reside in the beautiful, rustic natural beauty and diversity of British Columbia, we were not prepared for the port experience so carefully tourist curated. Don’t get me wrong, it was overall okay…some glimpses of beauty from ship on glacial ice floating by, mountains in the distance. Lovely views sometimes ( we did have a balcony room). But overall, for us, we found the Alaska cruise experience over priced. We would opt to fly in and spend longer times in a few locations in Alaska and choose extended, more local experiences to get the best bang for our buck and a more authentic cultural and natural experience in the area. Just our two cents worth. Loved many cruises in the past and look forward to many more…but this particular cruise on Solstice through inside passage in Alaska was not a win for us. Happy cruising!
I agree about the balcony cabin. We had the interior and while it was totally fine. I think I’d like the ability to have the balcony to see all the stunning views! Magnetic hooks were super helpful.
Im booking for a Alaska Trip on nex t May on the Serenade, I hope to enjoy this trip, first to me in Alaska ! Last time in Alaska was riding motorcycle from Cabo San Lucas, Mèxico in 2011 all the way !
I'm sorry to say I don't remember, but the prices were cheaper than if you booked specialty dining prior to the cruise. My brother in law had booked one specialty dining in advance (the steakhouse) and when he saw the special offer on the first day of cruising he canceled his original booking and rebooked it at the new promotional price. Reuben and I did not book any special dining and were fairly pleased with the food in the main dining room.
Hi, thanks for the wonderful video. I am going on the same cruise in September and am wondering, on the first day, what time did your room finally become available to you?
All the rooms were available at 1pm. We checked in earlier than our scheduled time and were on of the first on the ship at 11am (which was great because we were first in the buffet!). Have a great trip!
My wife and i are booking an alaskan cruise today on this ship, but we are questioning whether may or september is best, we have been on a may alaske cruise before.
That's a tough one. May has drier weather, but September increases your chances of seeing wildlife. Since it is the shoulder season of cruising, you may find that the ship is not very full. Have fun!
The people want more!!! Best video yet. Keep ‘em coming!
No worries, more will come!
This was a good video. Please share what are the must-try dishes in the main dining room.

Fabulous video! Going on Serenade in October to Mexico. I have been on 3 Alaskan cruises and yes they are wonderful! Thank you for this great video!
Thank you so much! We are thinking of cruising RC to Mexico in January.
Shoutout to my husband working at serenade of the seas.. ❣️ always take care 😘 Miz you..
so cool! makes me want to drop everything and go on a cruise!
Maybe you should! Unless you're holding a baby.
Well done! We are boarding Serenade Sept 25th. Appreciated the preview. Happy travels.
Thank you! Happy travels to you, hoping you have as much fun as we did.
How was your Alaska cruise? Anything good or bad /tips you would like to share with future cruisers?

Yes, there is nothing like lying in bed and watching icebergs go by!

Wow, Alaska to Mexico on a motorcycle is incredible! The cruise might not be quite as thrilling, but you will have a great time! Enjoy.
There is something about your voice that reminds me of Edie Falco……..I mean this as a compliment 😊
Ha! I will take that as a compliment!
Please share what shows you recommend & what days do they have these shows?
What day was lobster night? Was it the 1st or 2nd sea day? Need to make sure I eat in the main dining room on lobster night.
What specialty dining specials did RC offer on the 1st day?
