Always the same, unfortunately. Look up about womens tennis even in Edwardian times, and there are photographs of Suzanne Leglan which show clearly male.
My 1920 father knew about it, and said that it was womens own fault because they would marry quite early and stop their sporting career and this left a gap which had be filled, or there wouldn't be enough competitors. That didn't mean he approved. He did not. As he also once told me, where there is money there is mafia. The monies then were far less for men and even less for women, but there were still large enough sums involved especially with unregulated betting.
However, these days women might marry, have children and still continue with their sporting careers, so there is not even a weak excuse to allow men to pretend to be women in sports. It is only because they aren't good enough to compete against other natural men who obviously generally have more stamina, and the skeletal anatomy as well as the muscle and tendon differences, plus the larger feet for balance and hands for grip, as well as the usually better long sightedness and co-ordination which nature gave to the hunter gender. Medics know all of this, but unfortunately in our woke PC society are not allowed to say it.

THANK YOU Egard Watches and Marshi for giving women a platform to defend themselves against unfair competition. Women need to be allowed to blossom into leadership roles by the skills they learn through fair competitive sports! Allowing girls and women to have safe spaces and compete against other girls and women is just common sense. Nothing discriminatory about this fact. We need to support these brave spokespersons and companies that are not afraid to do the right thing!!!

This may not be a partisan issue among the general public, but it certainly is among politicians. The major political parties are completely divided on allowing males to compete in female sports.
