I literally ordered Lippizan yesterday strictly because I loved the note breakdown and NOONE other than THIS video has mentioned it. I want that "Sleeper" juice and it sounds like I won with Lippizan. Can't wait to have it arrive!
Great video. Very nicely done, Max. If I were to pick mine, it'd be; Good - Herod Bad - Darley Ugly - Hamdani Underrated - Galloway Overrated - Pegasus Guerlain GBUUO would be great.
I love this house, great video! Only tried 4 so far, definitely want to try em all. I'm with you on Lippizan. Didn't really do it for me. It's definitely quality juice. But it was way too herbal for me. I really loved Habdan, nice green apple with the resinous frankincense and myrh, absolutely great. Oajan, loved it too! Those 2 might be too much for other people around you...but, I think they smell amazing. Godolphin is great stuff too. Didn't love it quite as much as Oajan and Habdan, but still amazing. I get tons of saffron on sandal wood. Still bottle worthy. Looking forward to trying some of the others. I stayed away from Herod and Pegasus at first because everyone else was jumping on the hype train. But now that I have a good idea of the quality from this house I want to try all of them.
Cedrat Boise is awesome man, i swear i felt in love with it, especially the drydown is damn nice...I also have Aventus with the fruity Batch and i prefer Cedrat Boise much more...
I love this house... it is one of my top two favorite perfume brands. I have all of their masculine perfumes (17 in total) except for those three clear bottles in the middle but they are on my shopping list...
Just recently got a bottle of Habdan and the best way to describe it is a fresh apple pie infused with liquor. Very luxurious. I need to get me a bottle of Oajan now
Byerley is not a citrus fragrance.Yes there's bergamot as a top note, but dry down is woody , balsamic type of smell with a hint of bergamot.Yes-it's a bit smoky too. There is 2016 release called Nisean Nice video
Max, Thank you for this. I'm new to the frag world and have searching for a high quality version 'niche' of my favorite all time scent Drakkar. I was so happy when you mentioned it here in this video. Could you clarify is it Ispazon or Lipizan that resembles Drakkar? Thank you
Hey, I would say Lippizan for sure. There are a few others to consider checking out if you love Drakkar - some great alternatives are: Taxi, Caesar, Giorgio Beverly Hills for men and something out of left field which has the drakkar vibe with added oriental elements: Zaharoff Signature Homme! Let me know if you get around to check these out. Happy fragrant journeys!
@@MaxForti , brother your awesome. I'm excited to say the least. Drakkar started my journey as one day as a scentless guy I was strolling through Walmart and saw a bottle and picked it up. After wearing it a few days, I loved the scent but wanted something that was more modern. ADG Profumo was next and then I was hooked. So thank you for this as I really wanted something a bit more qualitywise and I happen to love PDM. Blessings
Great review, Max. I only own Herod, so I cannot speak about the other frags and presentation, but I am always blown away by the physical bottle whenever I reach it. Kind of reminds me of the old Coke-Cola thick glass bottles, but even heavier. I love it. Additionally, I totally agree with @equizzikal's GBUUO suggestions for either Clive Christian, By Kilian, or Byredo. Great suggestions. Again, thanks Max!
Lippizan is the only PdM so far that I really disliked (I do like the soapy drydown, but I can't deal with the opening). Shagya is heavily underrated imo, it's great
I am MOST interested & fascinated by Oajan, Pegasus & Habdan.... By the way, if you already own Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille, do you think Herod is needed.... Are the two that similar…?!?!
+Alan LT Keep in mind that Habdan only lasts for about five hours, at most. I had it, but got rid of it. Pure Malt Creation is very similar, with much better performance.
great pick. I've tested most pg them. 1. safanad 2. herod 3. darcy after all this its basically same dnas, same drydown like sweet rock candy. I would love to check a review of imaginary authors.
I'm new to the fragrance game when it comes to higher end fragrances so please explain. Is the parfums by Marley on the same level as the house of Creed Adventus or Green Irish tweed
MarkThisWayAfter man thanks brother. This is another reason I enjoy collecting fragrance I find the people in the community always try to help one another. Thanks once again. I find that I'm starting to notice a synthetic smell to certain colognes now. I find creed to smell more natural if you know what I'm trying to say. One I was kinda disappointed in was Bond#9. I find for the price they have a certain cheap or synthetic smell. Do you feel the same?
i find parfums de marly to be complete and a full body heavier scent than creed. I own both and enjoy both but i reach for my perfumes de marly more due to the fact i enjoy them more. Both great houses but i tend to lean toward my PDM just wish they had more fresh scents which is were creed takes the cake
Is it less sweet than Layton? I like it, but it is pretty sweet. I was thinking about picking up Herod, but the performance of this one has me interested.
Jacob Bonilla I know you weren't asking me lol but I have a bottle of it! My younger sister bought me this as a Christmas gift. What I can say is that it has a similar note menu as Darley ... so they smell similar in the opening but not the dry down. Layton is more of a work scent. I love to wear this so much I'm afraid I may kill this bottle a little earlier than expected. I love my Pegasus too especially around this time of the year but I can't stop spraying this stuff.
Parfum de Marly is an excellent house of fragrance. All of them smell really good. Unfortunately, all of them do not hold or project on me except maybe Layton! Herod just vanish in minutes..? Really too bad. I have yet to try Layton exclusif.
Try Ebay I have probally saved over $10k, seriously.. I remember checkin out the creed store in NY I believe the clerk said vetiver geranium was $260 at the time. Wowza.. found it for $90 on Ebay box n all. Gorgeous frag btw. Just purchased Ispazon for around $115 new. I bet its around twice that amount in store.
Nice review, but very very bad style to do a review(at least in my opinion) , not picking up the bottles or any way to show which bottle you're talking about, it is basically an image with commentary. With your knowledge it would be great to try another style.
I literally ordered Lippizan yesterday strictly because I loved the note breakdown and NOONE other than THIS video has mentioned it. I want that "Sleeper" juice and it sounds like I won with Lippizan. Can't wait to have it arrive!
I love Galloway, most others are too sweet
Great video. Very nicely done, Max.
If I were to pick mine, it'd be;
Good - Herod
Bad - Darley
Ugly - Hamdani
Underrated - Galloway
Overrated - Pegasus
Guerlain GBUUO would be great.
hi Bob Bob
see you again
+bob bob Great username.
I discover houses, all the time....i also live in one.
A great video. Wonderful explanation of the scents and an incredible collection you have!
I would like to see a review from herod&pegasus by u and smurfy as well 😁

I love your reviews and had learn a lot . I'd like you give a review about the Mancera house , specially to know more about Cedrat bois
Cedrat Boise is awesome man, i swear i felt in love with it, especially the drydown is damn nice...I also have Aventus with the fruity Batch and i prefer Cedrat Boise much more...
Herod, simply the best!
I don't see Layton in your line up.
I don't think it was out when this video was made
I love Layton!
@@xXEliteSpartanXx me too!
I'd like to see Frapin, Xerjoff, Sospiro and by By Kilian.
Yes. I was about to say Xerjoff, By Kilian and Armani Prive
I love this house... it is one of my top two favorite perfume brands. I have all of their masculine perfumes (17 in total) except for those three clear bottles in the middle but they are on my shopping list...

my ranking for this House is 1. Pegasus, 2. Layton and 3. Habdan!!

What's your opinion on Ispazon?
Max, Thank you for this. I'm new to the frag world and have searching for a high quality version 'niche' of my favorite all time scent Drakkar. I was so happy when you mentioned it here in this video. Could you clarify is it Ispazon or Lipizan that resembles Drakkar? Thank you

Almost all of these seem like fall or winter fragrances. Does this house make any fragrances good for a tropical vacation?
kevingp12 Creed is better for fresh scents
Lippizan is the only PdM so far that I really disliked (I do like the soapy drydown, but I can't deal with the opening). Shagya is heavily underrated imo, it's great
Hey, Max! I was thinking maybe you should next can do a GBUUO for the house of Azzaro.
Would you consider Habdan to be unisex? Herod is too sweet for me, Oajan has too much cinnamon - I wonder if Habdan would be a good option??
Monica I pulled the trigger on this one, have been wearing it non stop! :)
Habdan is phenomenal and one of the most underrated and overlooked offerings from the house... Sorry about the late reply... ;)
The Good Sniff what the best projection of theses perfumes??
I’m looking to buy one from this house as my wedding scent.. I’m getting married in october and I live in Ohio.. suggestion?
Had to thumbs up before I even watched
I am MOST interested & fascinated by Oajan, Pegasus & Habdan.... By the way, if you already own Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille, do you think Herod is needed.... Are the two that similar…?!?!
They are not similar, but both are awesome. These 2 frags will never leave my collection.
Shagya is amazing lasts forever. love it
A.ROMERO78USN Does Shagya reminds you of any other fragrances ?
@@shanedm3396 for me it didn't, maybe think Encre Noir but 100x lighter and add lime
what is the best projection of theses colection??
Could Habdan take the place of Dolce & Gabbana- the One (as a niche version)? I saw someone make that comparison. I may get a decant of it soon.
I recently got rid of my Herod bottle. I was leaning towards Oajan a bit. But now I think I might give Habdan a try.
Great Video

Darley is amazing
In Darley I smell mint, roses, sandalwood... Is that a sweetened version of Creed Viking (well, before Creed Viking)? :)
Galloway is my fav
Max really good video and presentation, on another note what is the name of the music being played in the background
Thanks a lot. Been trying to find reviews on Goldophin but there is only 1.
on camera?
max best one if them is Byerley the green one
this is best vetiver smokey fragrance on the world

I gotta try that habdan now , great video max :)
It's good dude. I blind brought it and it's great. A colder wether frag though. Lovely spicy Apple note, without being a gourmand
Is it less sweet than Layton? I like it, but it is pretty sweet. I was thinking about picking up Herod, but the performance of this one has me interested.
Excellent Video Max!
I just want to know how the hell u store your collection
Galloway Parfums de Marly done.
Max have you put your nose on Layton? If so what's your take?

KennethConcepts Thanks for the comment! Yeah, so far I'm digging this stuff more than I thought I would. Great signature scent.
Layton, herod and pegasus are the best
and a suggestion, i'd be ECSTATIC over a Guerlian GBUO(men's & women's) lol
Hey max do u go with Harrod or ojan? thanks
both awesome. For me Herod is the number 1 from this house.
I love shagya signature cent for me
You need to do an update for us now on this house.
GBUUO suggestions: Clive Christian, By Kilian, and Byredo. Thanks for all your vids!
Great review. You know your stuff. Great job !!!
Darley is still highly underrated IMO.
Am I the only one who finds Pegasus way to cloying to wear? I don't get the hype with that one.
I like it but only wear it when its cold out and only 2-3 sprays.
Congrats on 5k, by the way what's the intro song? :)
Wow ---- looks like $2,000 worth of fragrances.
Herod = winter Pegasus = spring Galloway = summer Godolphin = fall
great and detailed in-depth review ..
Parfum de Marly is an excellent house of fragrance. All of them smell really good. Unfortunately, all of them do not hold or project on me except maybe Layton! Herod just vanish in minutes..? Really too bad. I have yet to try Layton exclusif.
Great content Max, thanks!
congratulations on getting 5k subscribers
I love Godolphin, Layton, and Meliora. I think Delina is overrated.
anyone else thought the intro would say marly
nice video and congrats on 5k subs
a luxe GBUO...im gonna enjoy this =D
Man, how do you afford all these fragrances??
Luc Nguyen he has a job
Try Ebay I have probally saved over $10k, seriously.. I remember checkin out the creed store in NY I believe the clerk said vetiver geranium was $260 at the time. Great video. Love PDM
This line up triggers my envy, and is not from Gucci....lol
I love this house.
Max you smell like success!!
Is Darley really worth the price? I'm really considering Darley and Habdan.
I Own Darley and love it
i wold say it does remind me of JPG but i love the quality of PDM Darley
I hear it's also similar to Amouage Reflection Man, have you smelled that one? If so how close are they?
i haven't gotten my nose on it.
Notino has it for 84 dollars right now id jump on it i got mines for 140 a week ago so its a steal right now
I haven't order anything from there, Kinda skeptical about the if it's real or fake.
GODOLPHIN!!! Need to sniff that shit! Good job MAX! Maybe that's the next?
Dany Anctil it's Tuscan leather in drag
well done!
Nice review, but very very bad style to do a review(at least in my opinion) , not picking up the bottles or any way to show which bottle you're talking about, it is basically an image with commentary. With your knowledge it would be great to try another style.
