    I'm about to diy a greenhouse cabinet with the Rudsta tall, so this video was really helpful. The Rudsta tall doesn't seem to be as popular a greenhouse compared to like the tall Milsbo so there aren't as many resources online. Thanks for this video!

      the Rudsta cabinet is not so popular because it is smaller and also because the back is metallic and people prefer pegboards, but with a metallic back you can put a lot of magnetics stuff like shelves, pots, etc .. . Also there are holes in the back from where you can pass your electric cables, I don't know why the lady on the video didn't use them, maybe they were too small. I think that I am going to go for a Rudsta also. You can find it in grey/light green color also, they don't have it in white .....

      I didn’t use the holes in the back because the hole are way to small to get the lights through unless your able to wire your own lights I don’t think those hole will work for anyone. I actually tape them in the back because the humidity releases from there.
      I also love that I can use magnetic accessories 😁👌🏽

    Amazing tutorial, thank you so much! I'm just wondering if you have to weatherstrip the sides as well (e.g. where the light cables go through), or did you only do the bottom? I'm hoping to maintain 90%+ humidity so just trying to gauge how much weather strips to buy haha

    • @happilyrootbound

      Thank your so much for watching!
      If you looking to maintain 90+ I definitely recommend weather striping it all.
      I left the doors unstripped and it’s sitting at about 75-80%
      I’ll be weather stripping it all and giving an up close view on how I do it. Subscribe so you don’t miss it ! 😁

    Could you connect 2 together to make a large single cabinet side by side without the glass on the inside verticle sides?

    • @happilyrootbound
      @happilyrootbound  10 місяців тому

      Unfortunately not. The glass is apart of the structure

    Love the video!! So helpful. 👏🏼 Just out of curiosity, do you think the weather strips are 100% a must? I'm just contemplating if I should include them or not! 😊

      So I’ve actually done a test ! I have two rudsta cabinet one is completely sealed with weather strips and the other isn’t. I find the one that doesn’t have weather strips stays between a 60-75% humidity vs the one the weather strips stays at a 80-95% humidity. Do it definitely depend what humidity level you are trying to maintain. I feel like we usually want a high humidity level.

    Super informative!! I'm going to buy the Rudsta cabinet and I'll definitely follow this tutorial to build it. Do you think I can make it work without the weather stripping ?

    • @happilyrootbound
      @happilyrootbound  2 роки тому +2

      I find without the weather strips it’s more difficult to keep a higher humidity level. Without strips it stays about 60-75% humidity

    Where did you get the shelf that all your plants are on, that’s in the background while you are making the cabinet.

    did you weatherstrip the door at all?

    • @happilyrootbound
      @happilyrootbound  2 роки тому

      Depending If your home is hot/dry or cooler, in my hot dry apartment I’ve been having trouble keeping up humidity compared to my cool house I didn’t need to weather strip the door.
      But with weather stripping it completely you have to add a fan for air circulation
