Bruce Wayne probably exactly right, and i bet they only released it because of the hype from the new one... but ill take it lol never thought they’d make the 90 version but im glad they did!
Nope. There are others where the eye is normal. Also, having a lazy eye does not mean it is permanently in a different place. People can still move them, and often times keep them straight. Kristen Bell, for example, has a VERY BAD lazy eye but you'd never know unless you saw her interview about it.
Ocelot Ya but a big part of the character is his ability to move his eyes wherever. Also, I've seen about 5 in Gamestop and every single one had the lazy eye in it
Highly unlikely they all had the eye misspaint. If you know what an actual eye looks like, you can see it's very clearly cut off at the top. Also, see this: imgur.com/a/wtuMWwm It isn't intentional. It's not a lazy, it's bad paint.
True, it's bad paint (in fact, I'm jealous yours are straight, but my GameStop head arrived with straight eyes so I'm super happy) but it has the good fortune of being semi accurate no matter how bad it is, with Pennywise's eyes being crazy half the movie.
Personally, I liked the 90's IT movie. I genuinely found him creepy for the longest time. Now 2017, as soon as he spoke it was done. I laughed the whole movie, design wise 2017 was more aesthetic rather than creepy for me. But my God, he sounded like Shaggy and Scooby was trying to talk at the same time.
NECA changes up the articulation per figure, especially going for something that won't break up the sculpt as much. That's more why the chunky nature of Curry's Pennywise is different than Skarsgard's. Love both figures though, I got the Tim figure over the weekend and was instantly floored with how good he looked. Very happy with both of the figures (even got the Gamestop version of 2017 fig), grand additions to the collection.
Excusme, the problem you showed at 6:10 minutes with the leg articulation that seems kinda open, tell me how is your figure leg, it has broken or something? I ask because I bought the same figure and has the same issue in the same leg articulation.... Thanks
Regarding your feelings on the two portrayals, I agree, Skarsgard's take was more like a "demon" or unearthly being from the story, while Curry was more like the bully aspect of Pennywise in the book (that being second hand interpretation, I've sadly never read much of King aside from Carrie but I plan to read more at some leisurely point).
Just to let you know if you didnt know that NECA is starting to distribute to Target. I know ive seen some stuff mostly the small scale collectibles but i have seen a few actual figures like Kratos from God of War 4. Great review it was cool to see both designs next to each other it really makes me notice how in universe 2017 Pennywise makes no sense like what actual child would trust that creepy bastard.
You can find the NECA stuff in the entertainment section at Target (where the Blu Ray movies are). Mine had one each of Friday the 13th 3D, Friday the 13th part 4, and A Nightmare on Elm Street part 7. They were $25. I stopped buying NECA horror figures awhile ago but was very tempted to get one of the Jasons and that Freddy with the creepy ass dogs with human faces.
"Pennywise makes no sense like what actual child would trust that creepy bastard." I felt the same. It's a great monster design but a bad strategy for luring the kids.
These are great figures! I wasn't all that impressed with the 2017 IT movie, Too many "jump scares" and not enough suspense. I'm still kinda interested in getting the 2017 Pennywise figure because it's a great monster design.
Great review as always...I picked up all three also, I was feeling like “man that GameStop one was expensive. Did I make the right choice?” But seeing that you got all three makes me feel like I did make the right choice, the responsible choice
steve harveys scarf I order mines sunday I personally think the tim curry looks more creepier and disturbing than the 2017 pennywise looks like a goof the 1990 clothing makes it look more like a clown and the monster hans lol tim curry is better figure
That 2017 is definitely my favorite. The newer movie is scarier for me, especially Pennywise’s design. So I’m definitely gonna find a way to pick up the 2017 figure, I might even pick up one of the small Funko three packs
Honestly, I was never a huge fan of horror. I've never seen a Friday the 13th all the way through, don't remember any Halloween movies, and hadn't watched any Elm Streets until last year when there was a marathon. I know the characters and how iconic they are, I just have no reference.
As someone who’s seen neither movie I have no real interest in buying these but can admire how nice they look from afar Also the modern version feel scarier and creepier in a more obvious outright way, and has that supernatural ness in his design a bit. The older one comes across more like a guy dressed like a clown, and is just scary like how a clown is normally scary. He just looks off putting but not in the more obvious way I think the other comes across as
When you open them, if the joints are hard, you have to soak them in hot water to soften, the same to change the heads. If they are hard, do not force the piece, take the advice.
Haha, we were wandering around SDCC and a booth was selling little scale stuff like that and food and such. I grabbed some Mountain Dew cans and McDonalds fries, figured those were right up Gus' alley. I'm about to order some beer cans for Wolverine: www.ebay.com/itm/1x-Random-Miniature-Dollhouse-Beer-Can-Bottle-Drink-Bar-Kitchen-Decor-1-12-Scale/163196345811
The Fwoosh absolutely perfect for Gus. I wish I could get a 30 pack and a bottle of Jack for any of my Logan’s figures. In fact, I think he should always be packaged with some.
I hate clowns yet I have the joker which is my favorite villian, getting all the pennywise, i have sweet tooth from twisted metal, and I like killer clowns from outer space. 🤔🤔
Cool review! Love these figures! I agree too, I like the 2017 movie better. I always thought the original was kind of corny and boring in a lot of spots, but the 2017 version keeps me wanting more. Bill was fantastic! Regarding NECA...once you own a bunch of their figures, you kind of get used to the heads being a little tougher to put on. Now PUSH!!! 😆
On my NECA shortlist: EVERYTHING QUARTER SCALE: Ripley (Alien and Aliens) Power Loader Queen Colonial Marines: Vasquez Hicks Hudson TERMINATOR: Tech Noir Police assualt PREDATOR: Dutch Schaefer (Mud/disguise) with yelling head sculpt! All of these would be guaranteed to sell out for at least the the first several releases and people would absolutely flip their lids for a quarter scale ripley/power loader/queen release all at once. Think about it NECA that's an easy $100ripley/$250power loader/$250 Queen!!! and it's a huge incentive to buy multiple figures to complete a set!!! (whether it be all out once or spread out over time) EASY $600 NECA!!! The colonial marines among vasquez and her smart gun!!! TECH NOIR!!!! (need i say more!?) Police Assault!!! (I've already said too much!) Mud covered Dutch yelling (Easily one of the most iconic scenes of dutch initiating his challenge against the predator)
i ordered the new penny wise should be comming on friday im ganna order the 90s next month. Poping of the heads scares me i know neca has the tendency to break, i had a old school freddy and yeah te heads are a bitch to pop on and off.
Yeah, that was the most "EEEEK, RUN RUN RUN" moment, along with the projector, but I'm most unsettled when he's dancing and the head isn't moving. Brrrr....
fwoosh you need to search the packaging of your 1990 it, theres a boat with it too but its made of actual paper
Kuro's gaming yeah it’s in the bottom right
SHIT, yeah, it was taped to the bottom of the under tray. That's crazy it's paper. Another thing to differentiate the styles of the two figures.
i thought it was the game stop exclusive that had that
RiseOFloganX Logan Nope
Bruce Wayne probably exactly right, and i bet they only released it because of the hype from the new one... but ill take it lol never thought they’d make the 90 version but im glad they did!
The actor who plays 2017 Pennywise has a lazy eye, so I think the eyes on that are Neca paying attention to detail. These figures look dope!
Nope. There are others where the eye is normal. Also, having a lazy eye does not mean it is permanently in a different place. People can still move them, and often times keep them straight. Kristen Bell, for example, has a VERY BAD lazy eye but you'd never know unless you saw her interview about it.

It isn't intentional. It's not a lazy, it's bad paint.
He doesn't have a lazy eye? He literally just has the ability to move his one eye to make it seem like it's lazy.
True, it's bad paint (in fact, I'm jealous yours are straight, but my GameStop head arrived with straight eyes so I'm super happy) but it has the good fortune of being semi accurate no matter how bad it is, with Pennywise's eyes being crazy half the movie.
At 11:49 IT makes your screen dirty, and you can't clean it out.
Yeah, I noticed that, stupid macro lens. I don't think I'm using that again. Or I could clean it, but that's way too much work, haha.
As a Neca collector. I’ve learned a lot about the usefulness of the hair dryer. 😉
I need the 1990 version

Me:wtf laughing my ass off🤣

“Oh they float alright and when you’re down here with me,… YOU’LL FLOAT TOO!” -1990 pennywise
Is it a bit early for Halloween? 😂 Dat Intro! 😂
Excusme, the problem you showed at 6:10 minutes with the leg articulation that seems kinda open, tell me how is your figure leg, it has broken or something? I ask because I bought the same figure and has the same issue in the same leg articulation....

“I grabbed all 3 of em, the hell with it”.
Awesome
That intro was amazing robo. Absolutely amazing
I really, really need to practice with stop motion, but I'm glad the effect came across, haha.
"Out here in BFE" ... haven't heard that in forever. You're a gem Robo.
Haha, that's so ingrained in my head, being a lifelong resident of BFE.

I got fugitive predator from target yesterday
@@TitanShadow those "dog humans" as they called them. Surely creepy af
These are great figures! I wasn't all that impressed with the 2017 IT movie, Too many "jump scares" and not enough suspense. I'm still kinda interested in getting the 2017 Pennywise figure because it's a great monster design.
1990 is not any better
@@kenwatanabe7890 1990 is much better
Why doesn't the 90's version include the face on the box?
I’ve been waiting to see these, I love both versions of It.
Great review as always...I picked up all three also, I was feeling like “man that GameStop one was expensive. Did I make the right choice?” But seeing that you got all three makes me feel like I did make the right choice, the responsible choice
Haha, don't look to me for "responsible" choices! But UPS did end up delivering the GameStop about 30 minutes after I posted, so worth it.
The 1990 version figure is the better of the two in my opinion. 2017 version is way too tall and not as creepy looking as the 1990 version.
What Tim curry looks like a actual clown not creepy for me
4:52 🤣🤣🤣
5:10 😂😂😂
10:00 😂😂😂
9:34 😂😂😂
Just got my Tim Curry Pennywise today!
steve harveys scarf I order mines sunday I personally think the tim curry looks more creepier and disturbing than the 2017 pennywise looks like a goof the 1990 clothing makes it look more like a clown and the monster hans lol tim curry is better figure
Yes. The best one.
DOPE BRUH. Wish SHF would tackle the 2017 Pennywise. That’ll be awesome
dude! how did you make your Pennywise keep the balloons and do not fall? I can not do this with mine ((
Im so happy you reviewed these. Im thunking about buying these and wondering if I should buy both or just the 1990.
I would go for both, both bring something awesome to the table. Even if you prefer the 1990 in general, the 2017 is just an awesome action figure.
As So Tim Curry (1990 Pennywise) Is Acting Like A Clown But Bill Skarsgard (2017 Pennywise) Tries To Act Like A Clown But He Was Acting Creepy Instead
If I can only get one I get the 90s one, how much do they retail for?
About $25, I think.
"The weight in his ass" lmao
Cody Mosby That made me laugh too
lost it when he said that
do they scale up with McFarlane figures? or im guessing pennywise is bigger (?) thank you!
Pretty excited for my dorkside delivery on these.
That 2017 is definitely my favorite. The newer movie is scarier for me, especially Pennywise’s design. So I’m definitely gonna find a way to pick up the 2017 figure, I might even pick up one of the small Funko three packs
I did in fact get the GameStop exclusive as soon as this went up, and it looks even better. So. Good.
Would you ever consider getting any of necas other horror figures? I'm eyeing there Jason figures and id love if you would review them
Honestly, I was never a huge fan of horror. I've never seen a Friday the 13th all the way through, don't remember any Halloween movies, and hadn't watched any Elm Streets until last year when there was a marathon. I know the characters and how iconic they are, I just have no reference.
Hey fwoosh, are you goin to review the fugitive predator?
I haven't bought any of the Predators since the initial ones. I can't keep up!
I have it ☺
Steven Moutoux give it to me
Got both of this at the same time one each in this comic book store the balloons suck sometimes they fall
Fun fact about myself: my 1st ever horror movie was IT 2017.
The 2017 version has a longer right leg... Initially I thought it's just my figure but it seems they screwed up all of em :/
Hmm, didn't notice that, but it kind of adds to the "off" factor.
Well there goes me getting a good sleep for the foreseeable future....thanks robo!
Haha, sorry!
I love your Gus videos!
Unfortunately, they don’t give ALL the credit on their boxes
Will go for 2017 pennywise...great review comparison👍

You pretty much nailed it, but Curry does a lot to bring in an extra creepy vibe.
2017 IT had me laughing my ass off through the entire movie...I have a strange sense of humor maybe?
Man, Tim Curry is and always will be King for me. But to each there own
Don't get me wrong, it was really hard to pick one over the other, Curry will haunt me for the rest of my life.
When you open them, if the joints are hard, you have to soak them in hot water to soften, the same to change the heads. If they are hard, do not force the piece, take the advice.
We're going to need a Capt. Spaulding to go with these guys! - Make it happen NECA!
I have both the 2017 versions n waiting for the release of the 1990s version!!🤘
Pennywise 2017 is probably has the best articulation NECA has ever done
I wanted to say that but I don't get enough NECA to make that call. It's a hell of a figure either way.
Please make a video showing your custom figures Robo.
Congrats on getting it, lol they look really good.
They do look like they are worth the money. Ill try to get them for Christmas
Where in the shit did that Mountain Dew can come from?!? I think I need that!

That and a cigar, but that just doesn't fly these days.
Cuanto mide la figura de pennywise de los 90's ?
Can you review the "ultimate chucky" figure by NECA? I just ordered one but i love your reviews. :)
I’m not a big fan of the it series but these look amazing
11:53 My 3 favorite clowns!
Mine comes broken..
i bet gus will be the main character of it 2
The problem in the pennywise leg 2017 is present in all figures
it's not that yours is wrong, simply the way they manufactured the joint is wrong ....
Ah cool, I didn't know that.
Craig Warrick did an awesome custom of the original.
Saw that, love it.
I love the sculpt in neca figures but the QC ruins them for me.
Awsome Action Figure review
Intro name pls?
On My Life, free UA-cam song
Holy shit-balls batman!!!😳
that's me getting both of them
Lovely, as always.
Pennywise no matter how may times I watch the new one I hear the name I think Tim
Look in your Target's in the game section near the funnco pop's..
Mine doesn't have much NECA at all.
I have the I heart derry edition and I love him so much more because of the blood over his mouth and collar
I wish there was a it chapter 2 figure.
I think you might have gotten the fake version of the 2917 one
I'll call then new edition pennywise
And classic edition pennywise and

Target is carrying Neca now so you can look there 👀
Not my Target, or most Targets I hit last weekend on a trip through Texas. I'm ready for them to stock though!
The Fwoosh I found Kruger and all parts of Jason except part 2 of course, and a couple other figures. No Chucky though:(
@@thomascars1 my target had a chucky and I got the fugitive predator from target too

Lol 😂funny intro!
I like the it of 2017
