We have done them by just removing the alternator and lowering the engine slightly at the front of the car end. Didn't touch the intake manifold or the oil solenoid. job was quick and easy. Most of the work is done from the top.

Great video! One question, do you know where the coolant bleed valve/plug is on the Diesel CDI engine? I did a cooling flush on my 2009 ForTwo CDI but could not find the bleed point location that I know should be near the cylinder head to bleed the air out of the tubing. Now the car is overheating with the water not circulating and I guess full of air pockets everywhere. I've searched all over the Internet and the all the information available is only for the gasoline engine not the diesel. Thank you very much😊😊😊

to remove the 4 bolts on the intake its easy and simple. actually i would say maybe half an hour, and everything is done from the top. God bless you all

I am having the same problem. Did you ever find a solution? A different comment says that there are actually 5 bolts.

I've done a water pump change and it's very confined but doable without lowering the engine.

Appreciate the video but you should do a step by step video because didn't really help . How hard is it to put the serpentine belt back?
