Great video Paloma. It’s nice to see you sharing more parts of your life like foods you are eating and rock climbing! Plus all the creative art and animals. ♥️

I was playing your video on in the background while I was at work, and looked at the screen and thought I was watching another climbing video. I have been climbing for 3 years and all I watch is climbing videos pretty much on UA-cam and thought I clicked on the wrong video. I was like, "Wait, that's Paloma!" I love it, I'm so glad you got into climbing and continue to have fun with it!

Hi Paloma! I’ve been a long time watcher and you’ve kept me company through much art and the beginning of my business. Now I may have something to contribute!! You may know some of these things but I’ll say it as though you don’t to make sure no assumptions are made. I’m a clay technician working at my studio and I wouldn’t recommend using fire brick for filing the stilt holes, if anything something like that might just scratch up your piece and is really too soft. I think I’ve seen you use a dremmel for past clay pins, but something like that or maybe even a metal nail file with ideally a respirator would give a much better result and likely a lot faster. Probably would want diamond tip dremmel bits which aren’t too expensive. I’ve gotten some from harbor freight although not the best quality. To prevent those pin holes from being so bad, try to use as little glaze as necessary to get the visual, especially the clear top coat since it looks like you’re using underglazes, because the rest will just pool especially at the bottom where the stilts are. I’m 100% not going to tell you how to price things but I do want to say personally I wouldn’t worry about little imperfections like that in a reflection of the price! The kiln gods giveth and taketh away. I believe it’s a part of the work unless you are very specialized. More than anything I am just hoping you aren’t very sad about it or seeing it as a failure on your part. People always (in person at least) buy my more messed up ceramics and my seconds before the ones I did well even at equal item and price point. Some people like my misprints way more than the intended version. I think art is imperfect :) especially with something as high labor as clay. Also, it is so nice to see you and others making your business following whatever mediums your heart desires. I’ve been feeling a lot of pressure to specialize and pick a medium lately when that’s really just not who I am. I’m a tinkerer and an explorer. Thanks for helping me feel valid in that. Love your work and your company!!! ❤❤

thank you so much!! i personally also love imperfection, but i guess i tend to feel some sort of guilt? thank u for the dremmel tip, i was going to do that but the studio tech suggested the brick instead? it did chip off a bit of glaze but nothing too crazy

I just left a long comment about exposing screens on a previous video before watching this one 🤦🏻‍♀️...I was going to to say that if all else fails use a cricut and permanent vinyl, far less faff! They don't last so long but nice and easy to redo! Xx

I love your videos so much omg!! They always inspire me to keep creating! I'm so happy you were able to find a way to screenprint and I'm glad you kept trying with it, even though it was super frustrating before. I also love the fun linocut bits that you added here. I've done those in art class and it is so cool to see other people do it outside of my class. 💙💙

I don't know anything about screen printing, but just wondering if you'd have a little easier time with it if you ironed the area you're printing on first so it's very flat and no wrinkles getting in the way? It looks so nice regardless and hope this helps.

I looooooove your block print pieces 🥹👏🏻 I’m not sure if anyone’s told you but it may be easier for you to put the block on the table and burnish the paper on top for a crisp print. Either way works for you looks great!!
