Been a while since I've been able to make a video, final year was hell so hopefully I can get back to pumping them out semi-regularly
I've begun trying to take a new path with my videos, by focusing on essential information instead of padding constantly with context and stuff. Hopefully, my future videos will be shorter and easier to watch casually. ^^

I actually love you going on and on about the Nasuverse mechanics for hours, but I can definitely see how that would be intimidating for newer viewers.
Also, editing it would be hell.
Arcueids simplicity and how she and Shiki are with each other is why I consider her one of the top waifus ever. As well as she and Shiki being the best couple ever as well. Along with the Tsukihime remake, i'm wondering how they'll be like in Melty Blood: Type-Lumina and i'm definitely hoping they'll have more adventures to come after this!
Definitely top-tier waifu. I'm just really damn sad that once Shiki finally accepted his feelings and starts to act nice towards her, it's just full of sad moments and the route's basically over T_T
We didn't get to see them peacefully spend time together as lovers for even just one day, I wish Shiki could've realized his feelings sooner...
I think Arcueid might be one of the first few characters that instantly grew on me. Like the first moment she showed up, I felt an instant attachment towards her. I am pretty curious of what her character will be like in the remake.

Nice analyze, though I wish this video talked about why Arc's boobs got bigger over time.
Honestly I would apreciate if you had used the atualized lore instead of 21 years old version of Tsukihime. The old version is still under the shadow of Notes concepts as background, something Nasu moved past and used his infamy as retcon-man to let go(after Velber it is clear that the celestial bodies are interlinked as a biome with predators and the absolute antagonism between the planet and its children became more ambiguous). I know many cative fans might complain since Nasu expressively said that the New Tsukihime is made to be more compatible with the lore expansion made in FGO but I must remind all that promote this idea that Nasu peaked 20 years ago, FGO was a mistake and he should have kept writting new stories about Shiki and Arc is really unfair. Especialy since what atract people toNasuverse is how imaginative it is compared to creative bankrupted western media. We see Arc doing boss transformations, Ciel casting solar beans and new concepts like Idea Blood being introduced so promoting the new bodes well for future works in this setting yet I can't help but feel the hostility and rivaliry with Fate in this fandom can hurt its chances to a revival as FGO is Tsukihime biggest supporter to reach a new audience.
Another thing is that Arcruied and Crimson Moon's powers are really straight-forward, that is of pretty much brute strength and power. It is how Zelretch, despite being much weaker than Crimson Moon in terms of power level, was able to defeat Crimson Moon since he has more unorthodox ways to victory. Zelretch's ability to utilize alternate timelines and dimensions gives him a very large toolbox.
Something to note is that when Shiki "killed" her and she had to rebuild her body, he "broke" her, causing her to act differently than she usually does, namely the whimsical almost childish cat-like girl that Shiki came to know and love. Not saying that this personality of hers is false, as she is indeed ignorant of the world like a child, but that her original self wouldn't really bring herself to concern about such things. Archetype-Earth from Melty Blood is more like how she usually is; had she been her normal self, I doubt she would spare the thought to become so attached to someone and to fall in love.
Woooah!!! Finally a video on Best girl! It's about time! First a video on Shiki, now this. You're an absolute Chad, my guy. I haven't even watched it yet but I felt like I should say this. Arcueid was my absolute favourite Typemoon character when I first read the Tsukihime manga as a newbie to the franchise. Several years and a gazillion Typemoon works later, she's STILL my favourite TM character without a doubt.

One of my favorite things about arc is her simplicity. She doesnt lie, every emotion she feels shows up on her face automatically and she doesnt hold back her emotions at all which puts her into stark contrast with the rest of the tsukihime heroines who are naturally more normal as human beings. In a word arcueid is just pure which i guess is a trait they tried to carry over to arturia as well.
What i am hoping for is that a lot of the concepts that were not really delved into like the exact nature of her abilities and more examples of things marble phantasm can accomplish. We didn't really see much of anything in the original vn regarding this and the manga tried to add more depth but could only go so far with what little was out there
I want to see altrouge and all that juicy lore actually realized outside of vague interviews and databooks

I have to say one thing on the gallery picture that has the girls in it which was shown yesterday Tsukihime pv 2 Nasu and Takeuchi didn't add Satsuki with the other girls. That's messed up. Don't like when it's 5 heroines, which should been 6 heroines. Great video on Arcueid

Hisui certainly has the best route in the original vn imo. By a wide margin too. But best girl?
@@MrInuhanyou123 yeah lol. Most stable, Innocent, kind, supportive. You know the only reason he got to do half of the things in Arcueid Route was because Hisui was very lenient, gave him keys and everything when she didn’t have to. She’s the one who got Shiki to get out of the Little Space he was in when he was a child in the Tohno Home. Formal, Compassionate and just so much more. Best girl objectively and in actuality.

@@MrInuhanyou123 Best Girl isn’t just something determined by things like Attractiveness. It’s all debatable but in my thoughts Hisui is definitively best Type Moon Girl.

1. Her design. She not only got Saberfaced (making her look like a re-color of Jeanne Alter) but also moe-fied to appeal to modern Otaku-fetishes. OG Arcueid always looked like a woman in her mid 20's. Remake Arc looks 16-17 at most.
2. Her powers. Not only her, but Ciel and the vampires too. Most of her powers are pretentious chuuni-garbage. First she's changing dresses as if she's some kind of magical girl> Marble Phantasmoon is supposed to be a joke, damn -_-
Luminous Body, Event Storage, Idea Blood etc.
All of them are just laughably edgy and ironically make her look weaker than the original version. Event Storage does the same thing her Marble Phantasm could do in OG. Luminous Body is just ridiculous nonsense that has no business being in a horror-story. In general most fights in Tsuki Remake feel like straight out of Fate anyways. This has no place in a psychological horror story like Tsukihime. And despite all the fluff she still can't hold a candle to her OG Incarnation. Am I supposed to be impressed that Arc throws a few tons of rubble at Vlov if OG Arcueid can send down the moon on her opponents? Remake Arcs backup also is stated to be limited. OG Arcs is unlimited (or at least as much as the planet can muster). OG Arcueid can destroy Summer Snow>which is like its own dimension with moons, starts etc< in one shot. Remake Arc merely manages to event storage a city. OG Arcueid, despite being weakened, can hold her own against Nero Chaos' beasts, only got overwhelmed because she mistook them for mere familiars. Remake Arcueid got beaten by Vlov (a weaker vampire than Chaos) and her body destroyed by Ciel (in her own domain on top of that). OG Arcueid was one of the most powerful TM characters. Remake Arcueid is overhyped fodder that would already struggle with average servants until her Luminous Body form. She would get clapped by Gods and Beasts.
3. And most important her characterization. Out of all Fate characters, Arcueid personality wise was the closest to Irisviel from Fate/Zero. She doesn't have human morals (actually she's quite a darwinist) and despite her having cute moments, she's quite insensitive and socially awkward. But she doesn't have ill intentions, she just doesn't know any better as she started to form emotions and an actual personality after getting killed by Shiki.
The Arc route in Remake keeps her character from the OG intact. Probably because the Remake merely copy pastes OG Arcueids route anyways. But Ciel's route just completely ruined her. Not only the aforementioned pseudo-power creep that introduce ridiculous stakes over the most asinine thing (Ciel and Arc fighting over Shiki), they turned Arcueid into a complete yandere. She features one of the most meme-worthy sprites, her entire motivation revolves around Shiki (she even helps him to protect the city because of him), she attempts dumb manipulative tricks to make Shiki do what she wants, she fully takes advantage of Roa manifesting inside Shiki. And if she doesn't get what she wants she lashes out like a pouting child. And after an over the top battle, where Shiki has to save Arcueid from self-destruction because she went overboard by abusing her powers, Nasu expects us to just forgive her for all the bs she pulled in Ciel's route. Although she's clearly the bad guy here. In OG it was more grey. Yes she has her own (selfish) reasons to kill vampires but she also keeps the complexity of the magical world in mind. She knows she has to kill Roa quickly or the church abducts him and seals him away, so she can't get her power back. Nero Chaos is a nasty thorn in her side and if he makes a scene, the church and maybe the Mage Association will show up, making it harder to operate for her. So they had to get rid of Nero then and there.
Despite all that she truly starts to love Shiki and has his best interests in mind. She even says that if Shiki stuck with her, Roa wouldn't have jumped over to him. Even then she genuinely wants to help Shiki. Of course there is a selfish desire somewhere inside Arc, but despite butting heads with Ciel she never goes into full-on Yuno Gasai mode like her Remake version.
OG Arc and Remake Arc are completely different characters by now. You're welcome to like the new interpretation of her as much as you want. But I don't dig it and the Remake destroyed all interest I have in the new versions of Arcueid, Ciel, Shiki, Akiha, Hisui, Kohaku and Satsuki and what potential future stories Nasu wants to tell with them.
