If you read more deeply into it, Exodus 20:7 is not saying don't say the word God whenever you want or out of context. It means to not speak falsely on the character of God. It's more a case of "put some respect on His name", not "keep His name out your mouth."
The original texts have the same words used as Exodus 23:1 "Thou shalt not raise a false report", meaning don't give a false report as to the name of God. Also Deutoronomy 5:20 "Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbour". So twice the original phrase is interpreted as "falsely", but this time it meant "for no good reason" i And by "name", it means the same thing Marlo Stanfield was worried about at the end of the Wire when he hears about Omar sullying his "name". It's his reputation, who people know him to be.
Exodus 20:7 isn't telling you not to say "God damn! " when you're saying something is fire. It's telling not to say shit about God. If you ain't got nothing nice to say about Him, don't say anything at all. Saying God damn as an emotional reaction isn't sullying His reputation.
Though I feel this will fall on deaf ears since you're still using KJV you probably believe that's the only translation that is and always be accurate. But read translations of the KJV into other languages if you're multi lingual and you'll find multiple instances where the translation isn't 100% accurate. So if the KJV is translated into other languages is not fully accurate, how can you possibly think the translation from ancient Hebrew and Greek a thousand years later into English, a language that has drastically changed since it was written, is infallible? That doesn't make any God damn sense to me.
Edit : based off of your avatar and username (asian looking with a spanish last name) and that this is reaction to a pinoy artist, I'm guessing you're philipino. So my comment about using KJV may be out of line. Many Americans, most unilingual, use the KJV as if it's the only infallible translation. So I apologize if you selected this translation because it's widely recognized. But my point stands. Take the KJV. Read a chapter, then read it in Tagalog and I'm sure you'll notice subtle differences. Especially when you consider the difficulty as Olde English isn't your first language. It isn't anyone's anymore.
