    I know it sounds simple but a good step-stool really comes in handy for photographers in many situations.
    First: it's something to give you some extra height when you want to get to eye-level or above a subjects eye-level
    Second: it lets you sit down and a really good shooting height or to simply take a load off.
    Third: If you're at an event and need to get above the crowd to get your shot you can.
    There are so many more reasons and I know it sounds simple but you will thank me when you get the shot you need because you had something I mentioned in this video.

    I was surprised by the click bait style title, especially because I don't think you ever use them, but watch the video anyways. I'm glad I did, as it wasn't actually click bait! Really do love this channel.

    I do own one and its amazing. Whenever Im shooting sports, Im ALWAYS sitting down. The shots that you take on sports from a lower angle is so much better.

    This is such a good idea. When I go out doing bird photography in the field I often take a seat to use whilst waiting for my subject. It becomes important because it keeps you there for longer which means more opportunities to get good shots.

    Walkstool is absolutely the best thing I've ever bought. Slides into an old tripod bag easy, light and easy to set up and tear down in less than a minute. Great if you're hiking into somewhere to take photos and need to sit around and wait for your shot, or just for hiking in general too. Best of all, the thing supports over 300lbs of weight so even if you're wearing your gear you can sit without worry.

    Simple and true video. For my part it's the opposite, I now carry a blanket with me to trow on the ground when I want a low angle. I too often wanted to take a quick picture from ground level but didn't wanted to wreak my clothes (for example: wearing a suit for an event but wanting to take a picture from ground level, the ground being humid fresh cut grass)

    As someone just starting you wouldn´t think of something that SIMPLE and useful! I didn´t until this Video. Thanks Fro!
    btw. This is useful you damn haters. If you don´t care because you are so pro, then make your own videos for other pro-togs. I´m sure that will work...

    +1. I was watching a Jason Lernier lecture and he talked about articulating screens to get high angle shots at a wedding during the dance. Looks like this would help achieve that too.

    Totally agree, i always have it with me when doing portraits just to get that little bit taller than the subject.

    Great idea and a nice, quick, concise, 2 minute hit. Excellent suggestion that is "off the beaten path." Tired of everyone suggesting "lenses, tripods, etc." There are PLENTY of videos for this. This suggestion is one people may not think of and like the portable small folding stools. Easy to transport and little space. That tripod chair.... DON'T CHEAP OUT GUYS or you will be shooting from an unexpectedly low perspective .... with a little motion blur.... when the chair collapses! This title did not feel click baity either. It is truly a different piece of gear than EVERY other suggestion we see out there.

      Adam, your Grandma Valentina is my mom's (Diane), Aunt. Adam my real name is Bill I just use a fake name on You tube b/c of the crazy folks. Anyways you would know me if you saw me, we see you from time to time when we are in Staunton. My wife is the one who saw your comment on this channel and recognized your picture. We are just getting into photography. We just bought the Panasonic G9 and G85. Small world to see you on You tube.

    A stool is a great item to have, you can stand on it, sit on it, or set things on it.
    But I thought that you were going to say that the one thing every photographer should own is a camera. haha

    Very funny I actually needed a stool in the studio at uni because I was using a c stand and my camera was up higher than me! I couldn't believe that uni didn't have any stools, I'd bring my own but I travel 3 hours each way by train to get there and carrying a stool along with a camera bag, books and a tripod seems a little much

      Stop whining

    • @MrsSinette
      @MrsSinette 8 років тому +3

      +RandyS8410 don't leave out he said "consider" rather than needs to have or has to have. In addition, the video is only about 1 thing, and it's exactly what the title says. That's not click bait.

    • @philipphengel4930
      @philipphengel4930 8 років тому +4

      It's definitly click bait. The title "promises" that the video is about an important tip. But in reality it is like "Look how usefull chairs are".

    • @MrsSinette
      @MrsSinette 8 років тому +1

      +Philipp Hengel Well, I should say, I don't think it counts (you know, different people = different opinions) I found it helpful since it's honestly something I've considered before, but I have now. I also liked that it was a really short video. Quick and to the point. When I think of click bait, I think of something that promises to discuss one thing, but that one thing is buried under either a whole bunch of unrelated crap, or preceded by a lot of unnecessary build up.
