- In this video I prepare and light the fire with a Mora Companion 'heavy duty' then carve a coffee scoop with it. I used spruce for the fire and a piece of Alder that I felled earlier in the year to make the scoop.
Cheers Mate for another inspirational carving demonstration.
Great video. So relaxing watching you carve the spoon. I have a suggestion. Include the items you are using in the description. Such as axe, knife, etc....
Fair play Scott, great knife skills pal. Really enjoyed. Cheers Rich
Quality work as ever Scott 👍
Very nice work my friend Jim from Georgia usa.
Many thanks Jim 👍
Nice work, looks really good. I am completely new to this so if I want to do a coffee cup, which kind of wood would you recommend?
It depends on what woods you have available. You can't go wrong with Birch, Alder, sycamore etc
@@welshwoodsman thanks 😊
Quality work pal. Fair play.
Where did you learn bushcraft skills? Would love to learn. Do you know for any courses or instructors local ish to pontarddulais?
Thanks
luke williams I’ve been on quite a few courses over the years with some real quality providers. Woodsmoke, bison bushcraft, woodcraft school etc. The carving has just come with lots of practice. You can pick up a lot watching vids on the tube. There are some awesome carvers putting content on here. The nearest bushcraft provider to you is Dryad bushcraft over Gower. Check them out. 👍🏻
What axe do you use please?
I’m using a Gransfors wildlife hatchet in this video. A great little axe.
are u scotish or irish?
I'm Welsh
