Unlucky this trip pal the weather was phenomenal for october it aint good carping weather but i would give my left arm for those temps at the moment its baltic here in scotland i was out with the dog there and i saw a polar bear wearing a hat and scarf lol it looks a lovely lake mate and those carp john managed to catch were mega like u say u knew that lake was going to be tough the fishing is tricky but the rewards are great if u do manage one as always a great watch good luck on your next session cheers and tightlines

Tips for abbey - hemp and corn with plastic corn …. Keep it simple and to stand a good chance of catching on any of the lakes with the amount of weed and bars, little holes to drop into (hire a boat) navigator boats. The dogs bollocks … find the spots perfectly … never had less than 10 in a week each and my pb still stands at 53.02lb One big edge and a must for Abbey in my opinion along with the bailiff (Dave) - gone now, but use braided mainline. With the amount of weed on all lakes and we’ve fished them all, I wouldn’t dream of mono/fluoro - next trip in August/September and going to smash it!!
Yeah it’s definitely a challenging water! Good luck - I like the look of Heron, the week I was there all the fish were down the bottom end by the island. Guys were smashing it up
Feel your pain. Did a week in france in september for 1 fish the second day. Its just nice to be out with nothing else to think about butvfish and special milk...😭😂

That's great to know about arriving the Friday. We are booked up and had the same plan arrive early hours Saturday morning and wait . How did the whole lake perform or did it seem quiet all the way round ?
Thanks for watching mate I appreciate the comment too. There were a couple of pegs that caught multiple fish. Peg 1 and peg 8 but everywhere else was difficult. I think 8 out of the 13 blanked so definitely not easy but still an enjoyable holiday. Tight lines buddy and good luck 🎣
I think that peg draw system is poor. Should be drawn on the first day of your booked session once all parties are there. Having people turn up 24 hours early is rubbish.
Thanks for watching Andrew - we went on the Euro tunnel which was £133 each which includes a return. Fuel we spent about £120 all in. That’s travelling from Stoke to the venue. Tolls were £25 each way. Fishing and then bait & food I reckon it was about £850 all in 👍🏼
