The initial burst seems rather feminine to me but as it dries down it's perfectly unisex, narcotic kind of fragrance with something medicinal and addictive about it. I love it!
I'll admit that I've been intrigued by China White for a good while but there seems to be little info in terms of reviews out there. Where I live, I can routinely find it for just under $100.00 USD (it doesn't seem to be very popular). But if you like it, then its encouraging. 😏
This one had to grow on me (compared to the instant love on some of the others). As I mentioned this is perfect as an evening, going out fragrance. I have a friend (lady) who LOVES this one....it's her 'go to' fragrance. Like all fragrances, I would recommend you test on skin first and see if it works. I just purchased it bc I hear it's being discontinued and I'm so glad I did. I really love the vibe it provides. Serious and focused. I am wearing during my (WFH) workday and its giving me a boost. I also have Narcotic V and it's also super special in my collection of over 100 bottles. Excited to explore this house more.
Yes, it's actually the only one that is ceramic in material (the others are wooden) and has nice weight to it.....I love that Alessandro puts care into the total experience when it comes to his fragrances

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector Nudiflorum is both my favorite Nasomatto and the one that’s hardest for me to describe. And that’s saying something, because I at the very least enjoy every single Nasomatto and find almost all of them difficult to describe, lol. When I first smelled Nudiflorum, I didn’t really like it either. There was something pretty off-putting about the opening, sort of like an animalic melted rubber or tar. But as it dries down, this really transitions into an amazing dry smokiness that’s offset by an indescribable floral and musk element. The drydown is insane and it lasts for literal days. Even given the price/mL I think this is a pretty solid deal if you can get a bit of a discount, because you only need a spray or 2. It’s too strong for me in warm weather, but it’s one of my go-tos in fall and winter. Overall it’s a bizarre and surreal scent for me. Exactly what I’m looking for in a niche fragrance and a Nasomatto specifically. I hope you get the chance to try it again!

And yes, I feel I have to use all my creative ideas to fully express how these fragrances work, especially since Alessandro doesn't disclose the notes so we can only speculate as to what's in the fragrance and define what it is that we're smelling. I also think you defined what I did wrong when I first tested this. I sprayed on a hot Melbourne summer day...it killed me! I have a habit of spraying on skin (not a fan on card as I want to experience the fragrance, not just be an observer of it)...but it blew my brain😳. Thank you Ollie for the compliments; you're too kind my friend😊.....ok so I'm going to give you the 'long answer' (but stay with me😂) The great thing about fragrance is that it reacts differently on all of us and then we blend in our own olfactory memories and associations to these fragrances. And then we have the partners in our lives and their olfactory connections....and you blend all of this together to create a response to a fragrance. For me I interpret a 'sexy fragrance' as Woody Amber (Woody Oriental). I love the mystery of the spicy notes but the masculinity of the woods. Plus in most cases, these notes help project the fragrance and allows it to create a scent trail and further engages the nose's of others around me. I know that to some individuals China White is the sexiest fragrance out there. For me it sits too close to my skin and there's more flowers/powdery notes than wood notes. I love wearing this as an evening/dinner party fragrance (when I don't want to stand out too much). In my opinion (and olfactory association), the sexiest and 'seduction in overdrive' fragrance in the Nasomatto range is Pardon….this coming Sunday I’m reviewing this fragrance and would recommend that you test this one.
