@@Melissa12175 I do workouts from Sydney Cummings' UA-cam channel (check her out) and she emphasizes the technique of having your front leg perpendicular to your body when doing the pigeon pose.
Most people cannot get their legs to be perpendicular to their bodies as they will have restrictions. This is a beginner routine so we make it for beginners. I can get my hips to that but that’s not the purpose of the video. If you’re advanced and can do that then great but read the title. It’s for beginners. If I showed the things I can do, most people won’t be able to do what I do but that’s not the goal. The goal is to invite people to begin to get to their optimal levels.
@@Mankofit I did see the title & I'm just sharing what I have learned over the years training with Sydney Cummings. Just to let you know there's a modified version that she does, still with the front leg being perpendicular to your body, for beginners. 😄
This woman has taught me a huge majority of what I now know in fitness. She's the best! Massy is so much better than any 1:1 training that I've ever received from a face to face trainer. I have learned so much from her over the past few years I've been following her! Thank you again Massy 🎉
I can't believe how amazing I felt after doing this. My body felt relaxed and sore free. I can't wait to see how I will feel after doing this for a month. I was also surprised at how emotional I was. This was healing for the body/mind/soul.

In pigeon pose, isn't your front leg suppose to be perpendicular to your body?
Only if you can get into that pose perfectly.... She probably has tight hips which is why she is using the blocks as well.
