People really forget how many people are involved in SKZ's career. Yes, they are a self-produced group, but JYPE pays a lot of money for their comebacks, performances, tours and stuff. They need directors, actors, dancers, choreographers, people for the cameras, lights, storyboards, CGI, costumes, post-production etc. All these people have to get paid. Div1 staff have to get paid for managing them, doing their make up etc. Their coaches e.g. singing coaches, dance coaches etc have to get paid. They have new outfits for nearly every stage and these are freaking expensive. They have to pay their flights, the hotels, the vehicles etc. They have two dorms, health insurances etc. But also, the boys buy each other expensive jewelry, clothes etc. as birthday presents or e.g. Minho donates and buys from companies for charity, so it's not like, they don't earn a penny. They probably should get more money for all the hard work they do, because they do so so much and they save JYPE a lot of money for lyricsists, producers etc because they are self-produced, but we simply don't know how much they get, so don't act like, they earn nothing and are JYPE's slaves. Edit: as a designer and artist myself I literally forgot to mention all the designers that are involved and have to get paid too like set designers, graphic designers, communication designers, product designers, motion designers, costume designers, illustrators, animators etc. Also all the other jobs I couldn't think of right now, who are also involved and have to get paid.
Love the accuracy and consideration of this comment. I'm going into Graphic Design and was into animation for a bit so I def get what your saying- especially the last part. We shouldn't assume much one way or the other, or at least make a strong stand on any such assumptions- since we don't have all the info. Sure, skz are making money for jype, but a big part of that money gets reinvested into them. I think the boys started to make more money last year.
