He delivered a speech in British Parliament in mostly English. But in state banquet, he must speak his own language since he's the head of state of Spain. All the guest have a copy of translated speeches on their table.
They were all wearing tiaras, in Britain we have Saint Edward's Crown which every Monarch is crowned with and the State Imperial Crown is worn after the Coronation and for the State Opening of Parliament. Spain does not have any crown jewels

The best argument I can find on why a monarchy should be abolished (especially if it has been constitutionally sound like Britain’s) is that it forces a person to live a life of service to a country for decades or even most of her life. The wealth and privilege is hardly worth it when one cannot enjoy setting one’s own schedule and living a life of privacy. It makes more sense to abolish celebrities.

He served in WWII, and because he was on a ship, he got around a bit, so there are medals from various fields of action, including the Atlantic, the North Atlantic, the Mediterranean, Africa, and I think, Italy. Then there are three Jubilee Medals, all red white and blue in different arrangements for the Queen's Silver, Gold and Diamond Jubilees. There are also one or two Allied medals. He was young during the war, and does not have any distinctive medals for valour. However, he has the Order of the Garter for service to Her Majesty the Queen.
You might have noticed the two footmen and the Yeoman. Thge footmen have the very distinctive white enamelled cross of the Distinguished Service Order, the second highest Military award for Valour. One of the Yeoman has the Military Cross.... and I can't make out what the other Yeoman's medal is.

The term implies there are two distinct VERSIONS of a language, formal and informal. Felipe was simply using the proper way in which royalty is addressed, in standard, correct Castilian. That being said, anything Felipe says sounds beautiful, my favorite royal and I’m very proud of him!

Though I can only understand very little, I love the sound of the Spanish language, though of course there are a number of dialects.
It's kind of a shame that he didn't speak English, but I hope he spoke Spanish on purpose, it's a beautiful language. Way more emotional than English for sure.

If you mean King Felipe, he speaks fluent English. He grew up speaking English with his mother and has a master degree from Georgetown University. He delivered a speech in British Parliament in mostly English. But in state banquet, he must speak his own language since he's the head of state of Spain. All the guest have a copy of translated speeches on their table.

Pink Floyd spielen 197 Konzerte vor 5,5 Millionen Fans und planen mit der weltweiten Liveübertragung des Konzerts in Venedig Großes. Doch es gibt Probleme: Die Band muss auf eine schwimmende Plattform ausweichen, weil die Stadt Schäden an den Bauwerken befürchtet. Sänger und Gitarrist David Gilmour sagt dazu: "Das war ein spezieller Auftritt für das italienische Fernsehen und die gleichzeitige weltweite TV-Übertragung. Aufgrund von Zeitvorgaben konnten wir einige Songs nicht spielen und mussten andere kürzen. Wir hatten zwar viel Spaß, aber es war angespannt und nervenzerreibend. Wir mussten aufgrund der Satellitenübertragung eine genaue Länge der Show einhalten." Aus ganz Europa strömen die Fans nach Venedig.Es ist Urlaubszeit, und das Konzert ist gratis. Um 22.00 Uhr beginnt das Konzert vor geschätzten 200 000 bis 350 000 Zuschauern. Doch die magische Nacht bleibt nicht ohne Folgen: Nach heftiger Kritik der venezianischen Bürger tritt die Stadtregierung zurück. Keine sanitäre Anlagen, keine Versorgungsstationen, kein Müllkonzept, machen aus dem historischen Zentrum eine stinkende Müllhalde. Dabei will die Stadtregierung mit dem Konzert in Venedig Werbung in eigener Sache machen: "Venedig muss offen für neue Trends sein, eingeschlossen der Rockmusik", berichtet die "Washington Post". Noch bevor ein Ton gespielt wird, beschweren sich die Bürger von Venedig und befürchten, dass die Vibrationen Schäden an den historischen Gebäuden verursachen: "Wenn sie Rock wollen, lasst sie das in einem Fußballstadion machen, aber nicht auf der Piazza San Marco", zitiert die "New York Times" einen früheren Tourismusmanager Venedigs. 3satFestival Mainz - Nach fast 1,5 Jahren Pandemie träumen alle davon, zur Normalität zurückzukehren. Aber welche soll das sein? Eine, in der die Starken gewinnen und die Schwachen die Suppe auslöffeln müssen? Christoph Sieber schaut mit gewohnt ironischer Schärfe auf die kleinen und großen Ungerechtigkeiten, die vor, in und nach der Pandemie Bestand haben, und kommt mit einer klaren Botschaft zum "3satFestival 2021": An diese Normalität will ich mich nicht gewöhnen! Christoph Sieber ist sich mal wieder treu geblieben und präsentiert das, was ihn ausmacht: den gnadenlos satirischen Blick auf Politik, Kunst und Gesellschaft. Mit seinen bitterbösen Texten schaut er auf unsere Zeit und macht schonungslose Aussagen über die moderne Menschlichkeit: "Ich will mich nicht daran gewöhnen, dass die Würde des Menschen antastbar ist. Und ich möchte nicht in einer Welt leben, in der man tatsächlich glaubt, wenn jeder an sich denkt, dann ist doch an alle gedacht." Es geht um uns und unser Leben - und damit ist nicht das Leben der anderen gemeint. Wir alle sitzen im selben Gefährt, das im Zweifel auch noch eine schlechte Ökobilanz hat. Und diesen Karren bekommt man nur gemeinsam aus dem selbst produzierten Dreck. Doch Christoph Sieber wäre nicht Sieber, gäbe es bei ihm nicht auch die schelmische, urkomische und komödiantische Seite. Und so hilft er uns, diese vermeintlich optimale Normalität, die wir alle mit einem nostalgischen Blick idealisieren und uns mehr als sehnlichst herbeiwünschen, aus einem anderen Blickwinkel zu betrachten - mit Humor und vor allem mit dem Wunsch, etwas ändern zu können.

3satFestival Mainz - Nach fast 1,5 Jahren Pandemie träumen alle davon, zur Normalität zurückzukehren. Aber welche soll das sein? Eine, in der die Starken gewinnen und die Schwachen die Suppe auslöffeln müssen? Christoph Sieber schaut mit gewohnt ironischer Schärfe auf die kleinen und großen Ungerechtigkeiten, die vor, in und nach der Pandemie Bestand haben, und kommt mit einer klaren Botschaft zum "3satFestival 2021": An diese Normalität will ich mich nicht gewöhnen! Christoph Sieber ist sich mal wieder treu geblieben und präsentiert das, was ihn ausmacht: den gnadenlos satirischen Blick auf Politik, Kunst und Gesellschaft. Mit seinen bitterbösen Texten schaut er auf unsere Zeit und macht schonungslose Aussagen über die moderne Menschlichkeit: "Ich will mich nicht daran gewöhnen, dass die Würde des Menschen antastbar ist. Und ich möchte nicht in einer Welt leben, in der man tatsächlich glaubt, wenn jeder an sich denkt, dann ist doch an alle gedacht." Es geht um uns und unser Leben - und damit ist nicht das Leben der anderen gemeint. Wir alle sitzen im selben Gefährt, das im Zweifel auch noch eine schlechte Ökobilanz hat. Und diesen Karren bekommt man nur gemeinsam aus dem selbst produzierten Dreck. Doch Christoph Sieber wäre nicht Sieber, gäbe es bei ihm nicht auch die schelmische, urkomische und komödiantische Seite. Und so hilft er uns, diese vermeintlich optimale Normalität, die wir alle mit einem nostalgischen Blick idealisieren und uns mehr als sehnlichst herbeiwünschen, aus einem anderen Blickwinkel zu betrachten - mit Humor und vor allem mit dem Wunsch, etwas ändern zu können.

Is anyone else finding as many videos about the Queen as they can? I know Her Majesty found these dinners to be essential, but I bet she would have given anything for a cozy sweater, and a comfy chair to sit next to her corgis.
The best argument I can find on why a monarchy should be abolished (especially if it has been constitutionally sound like Britain’s) is that it forces a person to live a life of service to a country for decades or even most of her life. The wealth and privilege is hardly worth it when one cannot enjoy setting one’s own schedule and living a life of privacy. It makes more sense to abolish celebrities.
