Shannon is right when it comes to big name guys getting all the credit when they win and when they lose it’s everyone else’s fault.
The gist is a lot of people don’t look at it as a team game when in reality it is, Brady doesn’t even get one ring without a decent defense, or a kicker that can come through in the clutch, or his wife receivers catching and not dropping the ball, or his linemen protecting him to let him make the throws.
I saw a Seahawks fan mention yesterday on a different video that russel Wilson led them to their two super bowl appearances and I just had to respond mentioning if that “Legion of Boom” defense wasn’t there, they wouldn’t have even made the super bowls in the first place.
Brady is the Goat and I get that, but he benefited from having Adam Vinateri who is arguably the greatest kicker ever, numerous years where the patriots defense was pretty good, numerous wide receivers and tight ends throughout his career that never failed him, and it can go on. Brady absolutely contributed to the rings he has, but did he single handedly do it on his own? No. He had a team, it’s a shame when guys like Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning when he was around do get all the credit but when they lose people want to try and pass that off onto others even though these guys have shown they’re capable of mistakes and poor play.
Mahomes is the only player where when he wins, its because of him. And we he loses its literally because of his team. The dude is too good to ever play bad. Even on his worst nights he still plays above average.

Hey Shannon there is a such thing as Game Awareness. Meaning no matter what the score is if you are in striking distance of winning you do what it takes to win. Therefore since Brady's wins outweigh his losses Skip can easily argue how the defense has let him down when it mattered most.
You're missing the whole point of Shannon's argument, without the defense Brady doesn't win those super bowls is what he meant. Offense put points on the board while defense stops your opponent from putting their points up, both needed each so it's always going to be debatable, arguments can be justified for both sides.

I understand that skip feels disrespected/furious that mac jones is branding himself in his rookie year unlike tom and other qb, but I find it to be a genius idea coming from mac. Also, why is skip so God damn biased when he talks about brady? However, just to keep in mind Bill has been to 11/12 Superbowl out of 55 and has 8 rings which two of them was before he joins the patriots as defense coordinator for the New York giants, which is impressive.
