Hakaishin means God of Destruction. Also Blazblue and Gullty Gear don’t really have looping tracks for their fight themes. They’re usually full compositions. Daisuke being Daisuke lol. You are correct in that he doesn’t compose *everything* by himself but generally the fight themes are almost always him.

I mean GG ost generally had a lot of "looping" (via repetition of verses) before Xrd and IIRC overture, but yeah

FINAL BOSS FIGHT THEME LET'S GOOOOOOOOO
Such an awesome fight, me and my friend were stuck on this for a good hour on the hardest difficulty, this song stuck with me well after the fight. Blazblue had such an insane finale

This is the theme that plays in the story when it’s in the endgame. Ragna vs Susano’o. If he Ragna wins he essentially defeats the Satan of the Blazblue verse. If Susano’o wins, he gets to escape his ‘prison’ and create endless worlds of endless despair that will feed him power for eternity. That’s the simplified version of events.
This theme represents Susano’o desire to truly be ‘free’ from his prison and will destroy everything that he hates. Which is; everything.
Hope to see more Blazblue reactions. There is some real bangers. Walpurgisnacht. Yotomoshurika. The Tyrant. Six Heroes and more.

Lol, saw someone in the chat suggesting you play the games.
That shit is 4 games each with 30-hours long visual novels, plus all the dialogues for each characters' arcade mode in each game.
The plot is the most anime you can get, with magic, science and time-travel being involved.
I've played all of them since I started with the first one back in the day, but even I have a hard time making sense of it all.

@@tabkg5802 Compared to... well, most stories in fiction, it's convoluted to say the least.
Just the idea of Observers, which is based on the Schrödinger’s Cat experiment, would be enough to be the core plot of a Holywood movie.
Then you add the magic and anime bs, the world actually being the dream of a mecha-god, time paradoxes, literal beings existing outside of "reason", the different factions, the 36 playable characters and all of the side characters...
I mean I enjoy it, the lore combined with the gameplay and the kick-ass OST, this is actually one of my favorite series ever.
But "simple" is definitely not a word I would use to describe it.

Honestly, all of the themes involving Susanoo are amazing.
As a bit of context, Susanoo is a playable character and he happens to be one of the final bosses, alongside Izanami, another playable character. Both of their themes "Must Die" and "Yomotsuhirasaka" are amazing, and quite scary if you're fighting them.
As a fun fact: Susanoo's gameplay involves unlocking his specials since they are sealed, making him stronger the longer the battle lasts, and with more possibilities. Truly, a God of Destruction.

I know Daisuke can do a lot of things. But this is one of those tracks that made go "wait what, he can do this too!?" Really, at first I thought this is going to be a track in style of Awakening the Chaos or Metamorphosis, but Hakaishin turns out to be much much more. This. This track right here is, in my humble opinion, Daisuke's magnum opus. Essentially, this is the final boss theme of the whole BlazBlue saga. The fated clash between Ragna the Bloodedge, the protagonist and the series' main villain, Yuki Terumi, having reclaimed his true form of the deity Susano'o and with it, his full power. The insatiable Black Beast and the furious God of Destruction. Both standing at the edge of the world, in opposition to their dreams. And man does Daisuke nail the climactic feeling of this fight and then some.
Daisuke has for sure composed so many other bangers but none come even close to this one for me and it's a crime that BB's music doesn't get the recognition it rightfully deserves (though after it got rollback, it's thankfully changing).

I don't really know why this song has a middle eastern instrument in it, but this section is meant to be an allusion to ancient Japanese folk music, played on a modern guitar. I'm not well versed enough in Japanese history to explain that background or what kind it specifically is, but I know that it relates to the nature of Susano'o, the character whose theme this is (to be more specific, this is the theme of his Unlimited form that never made it into the game). Susano'o in actual Japanese Shinto mythology is a storm god, and Blazblue's Susano'o is likewise an ancient Japanese god, but his body is strangely made of impossibly advanced technology for someone who has existed since the dawn of time. This section of the song reflects that by playing a real ancient Japanese influence, traditionally played with its original, also ancient instrument, but here it's played with arguably the single most modern instrument that exists today.

I always equated Blazblue to more power and symphonic metal while Guilty Gear sticks to more of the traditional metal genres and prog. I love this song. It is one of the longest compositions Ishiwatari has made, if not the longest. It serves as the battle theme to the climax of the story. A lil bit of my impression since I also main susanoo in Central fiction
In this theme you really experience firsthand what susanoo is, the hakaishin (god of destruction), the sword that cut down evil (ragna) and just pure madness under a calm and divine facade and he has that unique chant where he basically said "I am strength, I am power, I am everything, I am the sword the sword of God that cuts down evil".
The choir part symbolizes divinity which susanoo is, even in the real mythology he is one of the 3 sibling gods alongside amaterasu and tsukuyomi.
The fun part after the choir symbolizes the madness he has under the mask of godhood and the drums and middle eastern part symbolize him likes to play around and at the end part where the choir hits again and slowly ends it can be treated as if susanoo succeed on destroying and creating a new world according to central fiction's story

gg +r to xrd tracks are all very much compositions aswell but usually not as long as stuff in blazblue . strive has a few longer songs but its skimmed to fit the speed of the fights so you usually hit arround the end of the song. bb actually was criticised to having so long interludes that rounds ended before the song even picked up . hakaijin is probably the biggest offender of that . i usually played with my pall slowly the first round so the second round has the payoff .

That aside, this theme is made for the character Susano in the story. he is literally born to be the god of war and destruction, hence the name. As many have probably told you Blazblue is also at least partually made by Daisuke Ishiwatari.
But the curcumstances arround its creation are very interesting, due to legal issues "Arcsystem Works" lost the rights to Guilty Gear for a while wich was pretty bad as you could probably immagine, Blazblue was made to be the new Arcsys fighter to replace guilty gear for a while, for all intents and purposes Blazblue was originally a different spinn on Guilty Gears formula but with a different aesthetic still inspired by metal but with a lot of other stuff such as japanese myth mixed into it.

Blazblue and Guilty Gears relevance and popularity is kind of intertwined. Arcsys actually lost the rights to a lot of Guilty Gears characters during the early 2000's (The highly experimental MOBA-esque fighter, Guilty Gear 2 was made under these legal restrictions, with them specifically saying they lost the rights to Faust and Dizzy, which suggest that they lost the right to any character that debuted in the GGX series) and decided to make Blazblue as a sort of spiritual successor to Guilty Gear which Daisuke took a bit of a backseat on, only doing the music and none of the other things he usually does with Guilty Gear (Story, character design etc) while waiting for the rights of "his baby" to come back.
They made four Blazblue games and more or less wrapped up the story in the fourth game just as they had gotten back the full rights to Guilty Gear and had made Xrd. Then they moved on to Strive and such. Last we saw of Blazblue was Crosstag Battle which was a non-canon crossover fighter.
I don't know what Arcsys thinks about doing new BB Games, but I think we're due for a new one soon.

Before Guilty Gear STRIVE kicked in, THIS is Daisuke Ishiwatari's longest music track. It further signifies the absolute decisive battle between Jin and Ragna's team-up fight against Susano'o, the God of Destruction. Hence the title "Hakaishin", which means Destruction God. Yeah, it took Ragna and Jin TEAMING-UP to beat this guy, who are already two of the most OP characters in BB! And they did not even defeat Susano'o the normal way, they had to use a "Cheat Code" to get Terumi out of the Susano'o Unit, and then have Amaterasu "Observe" him as a Hero to get rid of his Hax powers.
