Bring your police agent (the male one) over to the new city you conquered, he can help prevent rebellions. You can use the geisha in any of your own towns to stimulate economic growth or use them to try and seduce enemy units except Shingshengumi and ishin shishi

Hello Apollo. I'm super happy for the 2 videos back to back in just 2 days, and I am really hyped.
Some quick tips for the day:
1. The minus campaign movement range is really bad, and there are 2 levels: minus 7% and 10%. And this happens to generals and ALL agents accept geisha. (i know, it sucks, big time). And i believe it appears when you put your generals and agents in a city with an inn (and its upgrades) for too long. So try to avoid it if you could.
2. since your expansion now is entirely pro-imperial regions, you need to build lots of police station, and recruit the shinshengumi which helps with spreading the pro-shogunate. (i read a previous comment saying that the geisha help with influence, she does not. she helps with city wealth's growth, and if she is in an army, she helps with reducing the success chances of enemy agents. also she can enchant enemy general, shinobi and foreign veteran; and distract army which reduce their movement to 0 on that turn. pretty sick am i right?).
(Edit) 3. general skill tree does have 1 point in extra campaign movement range and replenishment rate, it is the second tier after the "aggressor" line.

This episode was a sum of unnecessary errors: the first is that you had the police agent free (in the entire first half of the episode) to send him in advance to the province near the one you lost and explore it, which would have helped you notice that you had a rival army approaching on the border; The second thing was to take out your army to attack in the region opposite to the closest one (illogical); The third was that even though you had an exact turn to return and fight the army of the neighboring province that was coming to attack you, you preferred to continue forward (if you had returned, you would have avoided losing the general and the city, then you would have had the enemy province clear to attack); The fourth thing is that having recovered the city after the disaster, you again made the same mistakes that I mentioned above (it was as easy as defeating your rivals, winning one more turn to swell the garrison and attack the north); The fifth mistake, specifically in the last siege that you lost, is that you sent the spearmen to charge, when it was working for you to wait for them to rise, shoot them and when they charged you now attack with the spearmen (by sending the spearmen quickly, only you made the enemy unit finish climbing without taking damage from the shots, as happened with the first round of enemy attack).
As a recommendation: the levy unit with yari that you use is no longer good at fighting against higher level shooting units (so leaving it as a reserve unit does not work), therefore it is better to send it to the lower levels along with the infantry garrison that you set to shoot (leave the White Tigers on the upper level holding), so while you withdraw the shooting unit, you buy time with the spearmen, so that the others continue shooting from the next level (this tactic is also used in the Shogun 2 Classic, but with the Ashigaru, because they delay the scale of the enemy unit, at the same time that you continue hammering them with shots with archers and harquebusiers behind). The tactic you've been using only works when you're fighting units equal to or worse than your own, and the moment you let your shooting infantry get trapped in close combat for too long, you lose.

The way you played the first battle was really good but it would say you could more pre emptively place the spear levy just to prevent the gun units dying unnecessary
You can always just place them in loose formation and micro them slightly and you dont get many deaths to artillery

Hi apollo,
I would suggest making citys in north as vassal which would give you 1 free unit per vassal and you wont have to worry about rebellions and you can sweep the whole north faster this way. Make vassal instead of peacefully occupying. :)

You need to research kneel fire ability. Will help in your defensive battles when you create kill boxes and activate the kneel fire especially with white tiger troops and when you get line infantry. Two rows of shooters are better than one.

if u eventually get the funds you should get parrot guns as you know they are extremly violent
also note: Usually when you have your guns firing behind You're MELEE they tend to friendly fire lol
just relocate to the very north so you can only get attacked from 1 direction. just lose those 3 provinces that your holding onto
Im currently doing a fall of the samurai campaign its to late atm but controlling the waters is really key to not having these constant battles!
Hey Apollo as others have said use your Ishin Shishi or police agent inside settlements this will help with repression and converting the province to the shogun, this is why the provinces are so unhappy because they are imperial

Sometime it's ok to rebel it will help with public order. Defeat the rebel army than stay at Capital for 1 trun should be enough to control public order. You don't need to lose some army just to maintain the public order. Hope you enyoi the game love your content

HELL yeah 2 in a row NICE, and do the Ghost of Tsushima playthrough just make it short and sweet main story beats only if you do side stuff to grind just do it off cam or maybe like a side quest 1 or 2 min montage. but id definitely watch as I am a loyal knight

Will the towers fire at will or do you have to give them an attack order? Haven’t seen you use them yet this stream but they may have helped you hold out a tad longer on that final siege defense (if they weren’t already firing that is)
