Lovely tune. First heard it on melody radio here in london in the 90s (when they played good easy listening music, not as they do now under the name magic). Sadly tunes like this seem to be lost and not get played on the radio these days.

Circa 1972,Dad (who-like myself all my own life-was then living in Toronto,Canada) purchased the 45rpm single by Petula Clark "The Wedding Song". (OF COURSE,most everyone reading this will know that this is the song that has the line "There is Love" in its chorus!) The folks at Toronto radio station CFRB 1010 were playing her version of that song often enough then;so that's where he first heard & liked the song.On the other side of that record (which would have had the then-recent MGM logo of Leo drawn...in that short-lived stylized form) was this song....which Ed Valenzuela has posted here. For whatever reasons,it was not until circa 2000 that I started to regularly play the "Song Without End" song on a record player. It was not until from circa 1985 to circa 1995 that I started to become fully aware of (AND correctly appreciate) all the hit songs that Petula recorded.BUT,until circa 2000 (when I noticed that she wrote "Song Without End") I did not realize that she also was a song writer;and not just a singer/actress! Would anyone here know if---during the years when she recorded all those 33-inch LPs that had all those Tony Hatch-composed hit songs---Petula also was able then to have at least a few of her own songs recorded on those records?(OR,was it only until she recorded for MGM [in this part of the Western Hemisphere;at least] that she was able to record any of her own songs?)

NOW is a very enjoyable album to listen to. There are several cuts on there where Petula Clark does a really job on.

JUST PETULA was Pet's most boring album since the beginning of her career.
