This is a documentation of our own, personal experience aboard the Carnival Venezia in late-July 2023. Since the Firenze isnt out of dry dock yet im watching Venezia videos to get me hyped up for its inaugural cruise.
Looks like they are sister ships and the variations will mostly be decor and colors. Similar layout and restaurants.
Awesome! Yeah, the Firenze is the sister ship to the Venezia, with the "fun Italian style" approach. It was quite festive. 🙂

There is always a dinning room open even though they don't advertise it. Always go to lunch in the dinning room after I do my muster station.

My wife and I were on the maiden cruise from Barcelona . . excellent post thanks for sharing! Being from Long Island sure looked like the Southern State on your drive into the city!

Came back 2 weeks ago. This ship is not for a NYC crowd. Pools too small, not enough space for adults even there is the Serenity area but no pool for adults. Had to get a deck chair at 6am on Serenity to get an umbrella. Our bags didn’t come until after 8pm. Didn’t sail away until 5:30. Disembarking 1 1/2 hr delay due to problems at the port. Buffet food was lukewarm. Breakfast the same every day except for pancakes vs french toast every other day. Could only get bacon 2 days on the whole trip. Elevators say they hold 18 people? What people? maybe 10 tightly. MANY people said they were going back to Royal Caribbean. This was our 4th Carnival cruise and we too probably won’t take another. Good parts: Steak house was great, specialty coffee good, drinks good. Shows were ok. Comedy ok. We got to rest for 8 days. The music entertainment was very good.

I don’t understand why people resist doing the muster station. It’s so easy since covid.

May I ask 2 questions. How is the internet and which dinning package did you choose. Keep here mixed reviews about "anytime dining". Appreciate you tremendously. Continued Blessing, fun and safe travels 💕
Thank you so much for your comment! 😊 We didn’t use internet outside of the regular ship Wi-Fi for their app. We did the anytime dining, which we prefer; however, we usually got there at 5pm after checking in via the Carnival app. Best to check in via the app ahead of time from wherever you are on the ship (just be ready to head there when doing so). Needless to say, we enjoyed our time. Working on part 2, should be out before the end of August. 😃

What other activities were there to do on Sea days besides eat and sit by the pool? Shows? trivia? classes? No one ever shows anything except eatting, drinking and sitting in pools.
Yes, there are other things happening like bingo, art auctions, etc. You get a daily schedule and decide what you want to do. We saw some shows in the evening, which are in part 2 of this vacation video series. During the daytime, being outside relaxing (and eating) was our pattern. The best part about any cruise is that there’s always something for everyone.
@@Geekendz we were actually bored to tears on our last Holland America cruise a few months ago. Not much happening during the day and we were bored. We are not sit in the sun people so we need some fun indoor activities. Classes, workshops, etc.
@heatherwhitehead5926 So sorry you were bored on that cruise. Yeah, usually Carnival, Norwegian, Royal would have more indoor activities.

So you were able to order alcoholic drinks on the first day? We were told not til 6am the second day😢
Hey, yeah, the only thing that wasn’t available the first day was the “beverage package” - that started the second day. You could otherwise buy drinks individually, though.
