I just picked up a new Scout for my daughter. Indian does make some sweet looking rides.
Congrats!
Great feeling.
Innit.
I've only ever bought one new motorcycle outta the showroom in my life.
A 1979 Triumph T140E.
Still.got her today, 41 years later...
Congrats! Nothing beats the glow of a happy biker's face on new bike day. Extra fun with a nice set of pipes too. Of all the demo ride vids, the Indian seemed the top contender just from a joy and excitement standpoint.I'm glad that lined up with all the other factors going into the decision. Nothing worse than making an overly practical motorcycle choice when your heart is pulling you in a different direction. Seems all the stars aligned for Fanny! Enjoy!!
Well that was bloody amazing.
There isn't much better than taking your Lady to pick up her new bike.
Smiles all around
.
Dead right. How you are made to feel is a massive part of the purchase. I have walked out of many dealers and bought the same model bike elsewhere, sometimes for more money. Glad you found your bike.
That's one beautiful bike
I actually felt a burst of excitement when you first saw the Indian. This video really made my day. Best of luck !
Rick Rock cheers!
one of the best bike delivery videos I've seen on youtube. The bike is gorgeous and she is happy. That's all it counts. enjoy the ride
ehsan83 Thanks a million
Great looking bike and it really suits you. Enjoy 👍
i have to say you put a smile on my face looking at yours
Congrats!
A dream come true now that you own an Indian! It's really nice that after years of hard work you have something you've always wanted. Interesting what you say about the dealership listening to your needs rather than make assumptions based on your gender. I think the more intelligent dealerships are switching on to this way of doing business. When we recently visited our local Triumph dealer, they treated my wife exactly the same way. They barely noticed that I was there!
Beautiful bike... beautiful woman!
Beautiful bike and really love the colour! Was never a fan of cruisers but would make an exception for the Indian. A friend of mine has the same in matt black and she absolutely loves it. And yes, she did also buy the jacket......!
That is one stunning bike.Wishing you years of enjoyment on it Fannie..Liked and thanks as always DW.......🏴
Beautiful bike. Congrats.
I think of the 3, this one is the best: bad @ss growl, water cooled, lots of power, low seat height to match your own, a definite attention getter being an Indian.
What a great moment, and thank you for taking us along! How nice of Dick to surprise you with a cool exhaust! Few things are more exciting than picking up a new bike! Congrats again, and enjoy it in good health! "Is that legal?" LOL!
Beautiful bike. Congratulations!
Nice bike
I just love you two. Congratulations on the new bike
Nice choice, lucky Girl, Happy riding.
Yep that works 👌
Beauty.
Lovely lovely lovely
What a fantastic bike. Hope you have plenty of fun and adventure on your new Indian.
Bye Stuart 🙂
Incredible bike! Congrats Fannie! I hope more video adventures on the new bike are in the future.
Congratulations on your new bike, enjoy it. I'm sure you will judging by the cheesy smile you had when you collect the bike😃
It has been a thoroughly entertaining and informative series. Thank you both for sharing and being so candid about the process of choosing a new bike. Now I want an Indian, sadly my local dealer recently closed so maybe not an easy option.
Wow, gorgeous bike, seeing you sat on it, don’t think there could have been any other choice, you just suit the bike..nice one. 👍
Nice bike!
I'm not into cruisers, but that is one beautiful bike. A vast improvement over the olive drab test bike.
Great to see you've found a great dealer too.
Great choice, congratulations!
That thing is beautiful! You’re setting me up. Come on, you work for Indian? In 1952 My dad bought a Super Chief from the Army. It had been packed in crate since the WW2. He paid a mechanic at Fort Hood Texas to assemble it. Drove from there to Washington DC.
Pleeeease tell us he kept it for you and it's now pride of place in your collection?!
Please say you still have it in the family and you have pictures!
Congratulations! I love the sound of the new exhaust too. I changed mine out on my Scout and it it is so much better now. Sounds like a real bike and gained a few horses too ;-) Next item I would HIGHLY recommend is the mini Scout floorboards. Makes it so much more comfortable to ride and they are user installable (takes about 10 minutes). Worth every pound! Have fun!
Unless my eyes deceived me, it looked like the mini floorboards were installed. Double check the video @10:23. I just put Kuryakyn mini boards on my 2017 Scout. I definitely want the fender light.
That mirror would bug the crap out of me
A very good looking bike. Have a great time. I hope we get enough good weather for you to enjoy it before our 6 month winter kicks in again!
It's very nice seeing more women in biking (and IT and gaming).
If you like women in gaming check out my daughter’s channel Tiddy Whistles.
Dick Whistles - Will do - Thanks!
Thant's where I'm getting a power commander fitted and tuned end of this month to my Interceptor 650 :)
Congratulations Fannie on your new ride. Sounds great and you look great. Ride thee well and watch out for left turners, or should I say right turners , in the UK.
Wonderful day picking up your new bike, it looks great. I hope you got to keep the standard exhausts, they won't be cheap and you will need them for the MOT, if you sell the bike or if you just tire of the noise. Enjoy the new ride.
I love it
When speaking of Indian dealer in N.J , were you meaning the new dealer in neptune on hwy 33 . Near [Ocean Grove? I use to live near there ,but moved to Las Vegas 4 yrs. ago. Nice bike enjoy
I checked them out at Sin City Indian here in vegas.
was that an Enfield Bullet at the far behind ?? ... just loved those ... Well ..dont get me wrong ..I liked the Indian scout too ..especially if you get those mufflers putting out that rumbling sound ....
Luvverly stuff! Btw when I mentioned some time ago that there were no dealers in NJ - I must have had a brainstorm.... Stupidly I was referring to my other love: Moto Guzzi. Not Indian, although one dealer near me did shut down which was a shame as it was the first place where they assembled the "last new" Indians on Route 22 in Union.
Fannie, that bike looks such a perfect fit for you! Have many safe hours with it. Later, Pete.
We must be living reverse lives! Your Jersey references make me a bit homesick. Were there ever Guzzi dealers in Jersey? Although it has been a long time now since I've lived there, if I think of it.
Glad you like the bike, you looked like the cat that got the cream 😆
Great video Dick, can you tell me what modification you had them do to the exhaust?
Congratulations Fannie!!
Sheri Mcdonald thanks! Maverick Crusher slip-ons.
Sweet bike, enjoy 👍🏻
Is there still a guy who goes by the name of "Tubs" there?
Congrats to you Fannie, well done on the exhaust, Dick! One day I will own an Indian too..
Awesome bike - and your experience of Moore Speed parallels my own 3 years ago when I bought my Scout (although I didn't use the Ladies room).
I used to run dealerships here in the UK and you're right: many try to sell to the guy when a couple come in. Big mistake.
When I worked with BMW they went about things even worse: they had a bike specially made for the female market: the F650 Strada. It was lowered which was good, but offering it in Salmon pink...?
Ladies don't generally want a ladies bike - they typically want a man's bike. And why not?
We had to paint those Stradas black so we could sell them...
The Scout is awesome. It'll run rings round a 114 softtail Harley and always grabs admiring looks.
Colin & his team are proper bike people - not the car salesmen you get in some dealerships.
And Col looks so much younger now he's trimmed the facial fungus!
Ride safe - hope to see you on the road 😎
What a choice - that bike is made for you. Great colour i like it alot. Is it legal? 👍
Cheers!
Lovely indian ,how tall are you ,regarding the foot controls....
Carol Saxton cheers. I’m 5’6” tall.

What a pretty bike. Had I waited, I may have gone this route over Triumph, which, I'm sad to say, has been a disheartening and disappointing experience that I've come to regret.
Thanks for the comment. What Triumph did you buy? What issues have you been having?
Dick Whistles - I purchased a 2017 T120 Black when they first became available. There are a number of issues with the bike itself, from the gearbox to braking.
Many riders experience these issues and more.Triumph has, unfortunately, not only not addressed these known issues (some of which have, in varying forms, impacted years of models), but have denied some - and flat out, well, lied about some. That, coupled with Triumph’s decisions as a company over the past few years and, for me, a series of negative experiences with the local dealer, have led me to become increasingly disenfranchised with the brand.
This disheartened feeling is magnified secondary to the fact that a vintage T120 has been high on my dream bike list since I was a teen - and this was the first new bike I’ve purchased (out of having had a ridiculous number of bikes in my life - well, ridiculous to people who haven’t become smitten with them).
Rob Vespa that sucks. Any chance you’re in the UK. Would love to do a video about your experience.
Love that olde worlde cream coloured background to the analogue clock. The TFT dash fitted to the top o the range FTR looks abysmal and totally out of place.
Christmas morning
From the states?
Originally.
I hope they gave you the Indian top for free
Discounted...
I thought the Brits already owned the ind-- oh never mind you meant the motorcycle 😅
Gratz, hope it serves you well!
The blasphemy spoils your video
Blasphemy? Jesus Christ!
That cool front fender light!!! where do you get them...!? It reminds me of the 1950s Pontiac bonnet mascot with the lit up Indian head!
It used to be that all Indian Motorcycles were sold with the Indian Chief Head fender light. The Scout doest and most of the other models don’t. But you can source them from Indian as they still are run on the Springfield.
Thanks for the comment.
Parted x my gsxr @ moorespeed for ftr cannot go wrong
