Love that you're seeing some of the process. This MV is a special one. It was one that celebrated how far they have come so when they are on the various sets they are all pieces from their previous videos, ones that were integral in their story of becoming Stray Kids. "Hellevator" was their first MV which was made prior to their debut as part of their survival show. "District 9" was their debut song and MV, MIROH was their first major win, etc. When they are talking about the memorable places they are talking about all of the sets and locations that they filmed at previously bringing back special memories. For STAY it is very emotional, if you've followed everything they have been through. They all joined as trainees. If you don't know, the way it works in K-POP is that there are companies that basically recruit kids to come and "train" with them. Then the company pulls together a bunch of the trainees, often through a survival show where a bunch of strangers compete for a few choice slots (how groups like BTS and ZEROBASEONE were made, for example), So the groups that everyone knows and loves were formed this way, But with SKZ it's different. Bangchan was a trainee at JYP for seven years, which is a very long time to be a trainee without debuting. Finally he said, "let me put together a group from the trainees and see if we can debut together". He hand-selected eight trainees based on what he saw in them and the potential they had to build on their skills, starting with Changbin and Han with whom he initially formed 3RACHA (the producing/rapping aspect of Stray Kids). Their group competed with a girls group to see which one JYP would choose to develop for debut and, luckily, JYP chose them. BUT, instead of having to compete to be IN the group, their survival show was basically to prove that they could all debut together. That means that when JYP thought members couldn't cut it he was able to cut them, and that DID happen. It was devastating (I highly recommend watching the show! It really gives you good insight into them.) These boys have been through a lot. A lot of loss, a lot of fighting to stay true to themselves and stay together. They are a very special and unique group of young men and I hope you dig further into them as far as WHO they are. I think that makes their music 1000 times more meaningful. I recommend watching the videos referenced in the "Stray Kids" MV (Hellevator, District 9, MIROH, Blueprint... I'm trying to remember if there were more) and then watch the actual MV for "Stray Kids".
Wow, thank you so much for sharing this incredible backstory! 🙌 Your explanation really helps us appreciate the layers of meaning in Stray Kids’ journey and their music videos. 🥹❤ It’s amazing how much they’ve been through and how close they’ve stayed through it all-Bangchan’s vision and the group’s determination are truly inspiring. We’re definitely going to check out the survival show and dive deeper into their earlier MVs like 'Hellevator' and 'District 9'-we love exploring the artistry and stories behind these groups! 🎥✨ Your insights make us even more excited to react to the ‘Stray Kids’ MV and the referenced videos. Thank you for being such an awesome STAY and sharing this with us! 💜 Stay tuned, and feel free to drop more recommendations anytime! 🫰😊 #PlaybackBroz"
@@PlayBackBroz you really can't go wrong, no matter what you go with next! Here's just a few ways you could go: Obviously you still have some of the most watched MVs like "Maniac", "La La La La" and "Megaverse". You also have ones that are more in the style of "Stray Kids" MV like "Victory Song" and "MIROH" (one of their first major award winning songs). Then you have songs in a totally different style like "Lose MY Breath" ft. Charlie Puth and "Red Lights" which was done by a sub-unit, Bangchan and Hyunjin. There are several awesome sub-unit and solo performances too. One MV I am super obsessed with right now is the official MV for "FAM". I literally cannot stop watching it on repeat. Also, another really interesting sort of "behind-the-scenes" thing for me was the 200th episode of Chan's Room. I recommend reacting to the entire episode and not one of the edits people have made because honestly, top to bottom, it is one of the funniest and coolest things I've ever watched. HIGHLY recommend!
@@PlayBackBroz oh! Also when you react to "La La La La" you should do a reaction to "Teaser Star Prologue" first and then immediately react to the MV. A lot of people have to watch the MV multiple times to figure out what's going on because there's so much; the prologue helps to set it up really well.
