I miss England so much , my home for 6 years. Feels refreshing to watch your vlog Mr. Carrington. I was a viewer since pandemic . I love visiting other towns and just checking out their charity shops . Makes me cry . Good fun memories indeed ❤

Aww you started from my hometown Eastbourne… Hastings old town is lovely especially George Street .. unfortunately the vehicular has been out of commission for some time now 😢 but good they are repairing it Did you see the huge thin black beach huts? I have never been to the castle The beautiful houses are flint houses gorgeous aren’t they 😍. Really enjoy the day trip out with you and Luke xx🌸💕🌸xxx

Loved this! My family and I moved to Hastings from Shetland-Scotland, 14 years ago, and I just love it!! The charity shops are great...and all the antique shops!! We bought a victorian house here...close to the Old Town...and it's furnished mostly from 2nd hand or antique shops!!! 😊😊😊😊
Sounds lovely! We planned to do the same. Found a lovely old house, near the old part, of town but the sale fell through, and then we found that we had to change our plans anyway. Really wished sometimes it had worked out!
@@nelliemelba4967 what a shame! We moved here and lived in a caravan for 8 weeks while we bought our house...I don't know what we would've done if the sale had fallen through!! 😮 Haven't regretted moving here for a second! Hope things worked out for you! 🙂

Hi Iwan, well a trip down memory lane for me. I used to go to Hastings a lot as a young teenager and later on after I was married with Children visiting an elderly aunt and uncle of my husband too! It must be 20 odd years since I was there last! Looked like a lovely day out and it was a lovely mid week treat to find your Vlog, big thank you x

Thank you for taking us on a day out to Hastings & Saint Leonards the pebble houses are nearly as nice as the Norfolk Flint stone buildings in my home county of Norfolk Lord Nelsons County there are charity shops here but not nearly as good as the ones you find ( or maybe I don’t find them 🤪 )

My husband and I stayed in a lovely bed and breakfast in Hastings Old Town for a couple of nights last week, and had drinks in the same cafe/library as you did! We also visited the castle ruins, but took the funicular railway up to it: there are 2 of them, and only one is out of action. The Old Town is lovely, and we usually visit for the day once or twice a year, driving from Essex, but it was a special birthday for me, so we treated ourselves this time. While we were at the castle, it was hot and sunny, but as we left the rain started and became torrential for a while; when it finished we watched the shop keeper emptying all those tea cups on the rods!

The visit to the Seaside was great! The sound of the waves is so soothing. You pizza lunch looked super delicious!
Not so sure about Luke's choice. It looked like a salad more than a pizza! LOL 😆

I love Hastings. I used to go lot. The seagulls though, are the size of dogs, and they'll mug you for your chips! The old town is lovely, and it's seems to have some very smart shops now. Glad you visited St Leonard's, it's not had the best of reputations over the years but it looks like it's come up quite a bit! Cheers, both of you!

Love everything you do and your manner is so gentle. Don’t understand the candle in a solid ceramic pot though. You can’t see it once it burns low so I’d use that pot Luke looked at for other things….kitchen storage maybe. Thank you gents.
I am originally from Bexhill-on-Sea (next town on from St Leonards) but have lived "oop north" for 13 years. I know Hastings extremely well, so it was lovely to see you both enjoying what this interesting town has to offer. There is a famous pie and mash shop/cafe on the seafront, also very good fish and chip shop, both of which I miss! I used to love popping into the charity shops, they look as good as ever, and I liked your bargains from the day! Lovely video, made feel very nostalgic! 😊

The Year before last, we went to a Kids Halloween event at the castle. Very spooky running around in the dark... The Fudge shop in the Old Town, where they make it on site.
Fab suggestion to go to Hastings- looks such a perfect day. Always lovely to see Luke- great planning and good to see all the lovely vintage and antiques 🥰

Hi mr C thank you for this video it bought back some fantastic memories, I lost my husband in jan 21 and hastings was our place to go from our home in Greenwich just for a spot of lunch he used to love the old bookshop on the corner, I am trying to summon up the courage to revisit our special places and once again thank you ❤ xx

I love a charity shop you have to rummage in. I must admit I’m quite jealous of your finds. I’ve wanted to find that Emma Bridgewater tin for ages but no luck so far and I would have bought the shirt too because I sell a few bits on eBay and Kin items, especially new with tags are a good seller. I think you should do a series of travels to different towns and what you find in charity shops there 👍

Loved your trip to Hastings Mr C... I have family close by.. the Battle of Hastings actually happened at Battle Abbey, 7 miles from Hastings. It's well worth a visit next time you are in the area.. much love 😘
