I think the cons (if you have your hands down) are obvious in that unless you have a good senses, reflexes, and read "punch lines" you will get hit. As for masking your punches by holding them low, I see nothing wrong with it. I am a supporter of fighting in the way it feels most natural. It may look like crap to the viewer, but it is not their head that is being swung at.
Good lesson. I remember when the concept of prediction, as you put it, suddenly took root in my brain. I always called it 'anticipation' but it's the same thing. "I see he really wants to hit me with the right, I anticipate that he'll paw out a weak jab and then overload the cross". I soon realized that not only can you predict specific attacks, but you could set them off when you wanted. He wants to hit me with the right? Ok, I'll show him the opening he's looking for. Here it comes. I'm ready.
Sure, on average, fighting with your hands down CAN be dangerous! That is obvious. My point was that if on the rare occasion someone fights better like that, they should. If they get hit or knocked out by doing so, they will put their hands up.
he is saying that when your hands are down and it hard to see your punches and he wants to know what you think about it and what the pro and the cons are
I honesty think the Utimate Boxer or Pugilist is Thee Counter-Puncher .Making someone miss is what its all about. When you pay Chess that"s exatly what you have to do Knw where every shot is coming from It"s the ony way to stay out of harms way. Iv"e aways been a fan of Thee Counter-Attacker Ive aways wonder how do you Master the surprise attack. You know the one they never see coming.
