Yes, I use photoshop. I honestly don’t know what alternative programs are available either 🤔 but I know authors who have also just asked their publisher to separate elements for them like title only graphic, cover illustration with no text, things like that. Which is an option too
I keep meaning to ask this but I keep forgetting--How scary are Delicious Monsters and Tender Beasts? Like, if 0 is not scary at all and 10 is so scary you need to leave a light on to go to sleep, where would it fall? I really want to read the books but am a little baby 😂
This is hard because I feel like my tolerance is high 😅 I feel like DM is maybe 6? And Tender Beasts is like 5. They’re more unsettling and gory than anything. But DM has some bug stuff so perhaps could be seen as more gross? Tender Beasts is more slasher style. To be honest I’ve only ever been scared by like two books, so I don’t know how helpful my scale is. But you can basically skim all the scary bits. Which is usually what I tell people. It’s much more psychological dread. But maybe the best thing would be to like borrow it from the library and give it a try?
